The Noise might be my favourite boss in the game, but Fake Peppino is hands down the BEST boss in the game, what an amazingly constructed fight, it tells such a story through its sequences, it gives you so many moments to realize what's happenening and allow that to scare you, it's almost perfect.

when i fought feppino for the first time at around 2-3 am, i was nearly shitting my pants. his second phase had me looking over my shoulder into the dark corners of my room during the fight after noticing the background changed. it's one of those boss fights i WISH i could erase from my memory just so i could relive it again.

It's cool that his attacks early on are the same abilities as Peppino too, as he bounces around unpredictability and sprints up and down the walls at full speed AND being invulnerable while doing it, really gives you that feeling of "WHAT'S HAPPENING, WHAT DO I DO" that regular enemies likely feel when they see Peppino appear out of nowhere and instantly trample them. The Peppino has become the Peppino'd. Also the fact that the Fake Peppino boss music is an offkey and desynced version of "It's Pizza Time!", the song that plays on the mad rush at the end of a level. It's a great touch

Fake Peppino feels like a Metroid Fusion reference in itself. -Gooey monster that crumbles into the ground like the X-parasite zombies. -The soundtrack being heavily distorted brings to mind Neo-Ridleys corrupted version of "Ridley's theme". -Fake Peppino is basically Sa-X (PS-X) where he uses all your moves but entirely.. *wrong* -Giant open battlefield you engage them in for both games. -Fake Peppino can make multi-fakes while it was mentioned by ADAM that there are 10 other SA-x's still on board. (though you never do see them). -Monstrous form on the final stretch to the break down of the SA-X. (doing massive damage if you get hit) even the demo had fake peppino chase the player in some levels which was hell like being spotted by the Sa-X.

i could totally buy it, honestly. i also like the idea that hes based on the wario apparition... at least for the chase sequence. just because its a funny thought and the other 3 bosses so far have parodied aspects of wario's character (pepperman = SML2, vigilante = WL1's revenge plot, noise = edgy antihero rival). it'd be pretty funny for fake peppino to be based on wario's current legacy as a horror icon

Honestly all things considered I think Vinny is pretty alright at the game. You can tell that his experience with the Wario Land series has kind of given him an edge when it comes to other playthroughs and while he isn't particularly great at learning I do find his gameplay to be enjoyable as you can tell he really loves the game and genuinely wants to experience to its fullest Overall this has been a really great playthrough and it's made all the buildup with the demos so worth it

I went to “the first ever farewell tour” when it came to Orlando. It takes a lot to make me feel uncomfortable, and somehow he pulled it off.
