Holy how have I not been introduced to this. I'm such a big fan of the old, big cheese cut eye art, fluidly anatomically drawn style in the early 50s cartoons like Felix, the original Mickey Mouse and Betty Boop. I also adore the vintage, water colour looking painted backgrounds and really upbeat, orchestral music that accompany the style, just like in the early cartoons. A serious bravo to those who designed the visuals. Words cannot describe how much I love this.

Very happy how this game turned out. They really put a ton of detail into the art style and being originally a boss rush game, I think they did a great job retooling it into a slightly more platformer-type game. Though when you hear about the story how the creators actually had to remortgage their homes to finance the project and get more people employed just to finish it in time.. mmh, there's this bitter taste to it in my mouth. It's kinda sad that independent developers have to take a gamble and potentially live with the consequences for the rest for their lives. Always thought that Microsoft actually funded the game with the two seconds of it appearing at every E3 (: But at least it's finally out and I wish the developers a lot of fortune and that they finally get to catch a break after the immense crunching time they went through.
