@@Person_two saying the name of the ghost typically angers them. It's useful if a ghost is shy because a more active ghost is easier to find and track. However, saying the name of an already aggressive ghost is not a good idea. I'm not sure about what I'm about to say, but I'm fairly certain that saying the name in a question overrides the question and angers the ghost. The game can be pretty buggy so I don't know if that's consistent or not.

Yeah there's definitely kind of a tone problem with the lethality of the ghosts and the mundanity of the ghost hunters being there just to make fifty bucks by getting some photos. I kinda feel like it would work better if the "death" was reflavored to be the ghost hunter being spooked so hard that they faint.

Maksie0 you call it a "tone problem" but it's one of my favorite ironies about the game. The risk is so high and the reward is so low. It feels like being an Amazon warehouse worker, risking your life for a couple more bucks because you don't have any other options.

I think Binyot’s beep problem may come from incorrect audio settings directing his out-of-bounds alarms to his in-game mic output where everyone else hears it instead to to his headset where he can hear it. I’ve no idea where the settings are located but if he can find them I’m sure that’s the solution. Would explain why other players can hear it, but chat and Vinny can’t hear it, and why you can hear the beeping even when he isn’t talking.

If you're talking about OVR's chaperone alarm sound, it's not the same one that we're hearing through his mic. OVR's sounds like an alarm clock, not this sweeping sinewave that we hear. I don't recall standard SteamVR having any chaperone related sounds, but I could be wrong. We went into VR Chat and his mic worked fine with no noises. It seems to be an issue with the VOIP system that Phasmophobia uses conflicting with his setup. Though I don't see anyone reporting this exact problem on the game's discord

Does anyone have an example of the sound everyone else but us is hearing over Vinny's mic? I've heard of people having similar issues. In Teo's latest edited video for this game, at the 11 minute mark exactly, someone's mic stops working and starts making weird laser noises. Wondering if this is the same issue.

Channels with a lot of subscribers get to add custom emotes, some of which are free to use and some of which are for subscribers only. But people would rather not have to pay for stuff so there are also browser extensions (BetterTwitchTV and FrankerFaceZ) that convert certain strings into extra emotes, and channel owners can also contribute to their library. Vinny has some of all three, I believe, and sometimes shuffles them around as his priorities change.

Hey vinny I believe your audio beeping is feedback from your headphones on your headset going into whatever mic is being used in game. It makes a repeating high pitched “beeping” noise. If you find a way to cancel that out it might help.
