What I like about vinnie is that he is totally willing to forget about his awesome technique and go with his vibe

I used to live across the street from The Baked Potato on Ventura and would go see Vinnie, Abe L, Mike Landau and Greg Mathieson play all the time. Effing unbelievable shows. I would walk over there. The owner was a friend and I always had a front row seat, literally feet from the stage. It was like watching them play in your living room. Those were the days...

Yeah, I would be mad as hell if I was the artist. I play live and when a strobe goes off like that is can make it hard to play because it is so distracting. I have had it mess with me sense of balance before.

lol Abraham Laboriel Sr. is not just a bass player, the man is a true legend! He's like Victor Wooten's dad, the one bass virtuoso who invented all that stuff decades ago. Abe Jr. is very talented, but not anywhere near his dad's musical accomplishments yet.
