So thankful we have both of them.

Both top drummers of all-time for sure. Weckl's been my favorite for over 40 years. No one can touch his fluidity and musicality. Vinnie is one of the most diverse, technical drummers to ever live. It is NOT a competition. These two are equal to the task as the greatest to ever live with a handful of others.

Vinnie is a feel and random master. Weckl is a precise and calculated finesse master. Completely different styles. Both undoubtedly on top.

For me, Vinnie is exceptional; he’s the greatest drummer of all time. He’s capable of playing all styles, often better than a drummer who sticks to just one style. Every time, I’m amazed by his technique, his boldness, and the new things he brings that I’ve never heard before. I feel like he has been evolving drumming for the past 30 years in a way that no one else has before him. Dave, is more classic. He’s an amazing drummer, whereas Vinnie is genius. His playing is pleasant to listen and to play, but he often repeats the same fills, while Vinnie explores new territory.

Dave is hitting the heads just right. He looks so relax. Vinnie has more power approach. Which is quite fun to play. Steve Smith doesn't hit the drums that hard anymore. He said it's up to the sound guy to increase volume if needed. Great but Deen Castronovo is more fun to watch.

this is the Actual proof that both Drummers are incredible - for me, Weckl is more "melodic" in his playing.

Both non plus ultra of drumming. Weckl overall seems a little more laid back where Vinnie pushes the rhythm more.
