I just happened to be listening to Hong Kong incident and after your great instructional noticed that he uses this lick at 2:44 of the song except instead of alternating it sounds like he's repeating leading with the right. Would've never heard it without your video to break this down. Cheers!

Thanks Joe, you're a beast :D!! I feel the one Vinnie does is way more "flamy". Something like his classic 7's (rL)RLRR(rL)R but spaced with the pause, as you said. Of course you're way better drummer than me, so I'm probably wrong xD

Nice explaination of the fill or lick. I say lick because its just a taste, its a part of a solo,so we say lick. For those who don't know,check out my teacher Mike Clark on Actual proof, he was the original that started that fad of drumming along with Harvey mason and Billy Cobham on the Inner Mounting Flame Album and a host of others. Great Job though, I'm looking for some more.
