I went with my friend who is a HUGE fan to a show in suburbs of Chicago. My friend, Bob and Michale Graves talked and they are friends to this day. Michale Graves comes to his house and hangs out with us. He is a real cool down to earth dude. He really does become a part of his fans lives. My friend Bob tells everyone who will listen about his friend who was lead singer of Misfits.

I love how in the mid nineties everybody thought he ruined The Misfits. Now, it’s not the Misfits without Michale Graves! I thought he was exactly what they needed! Nobody on earth, could have taken this job without scrutiny. Ronnie James Dio would’ve gotten shit.

I sang for a couple of local bands when I was younger and later joined the army. Now a veteran, I really feel a connection with Graves more now than when he was with the Misfits. So many people down him for joining the service, but it’s just another part of his journey in life. Great guy.

Doyle and Graves are friends... There's an early Gorgeous Frankenstein demo with Graves on vocals cause Michale was Doyle's first choice but Jerry is his brother so family loyalty kinda nipped that in the bud... kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpfKnX2MebqKrrM

I dug the concept of Project 1950 but Jerry's vocals kill it...if it wasn't for Marky Ramone being on that album I wouldn't of even gave it a second listen but then that lineup led to the whole Osaka Popstar crap with John Cafiero on vocals...

I like the singing and the songs he did on American psycho and if that was done under a different band name I think it would have been better for it, but I also just don't see graves as a "spooky" guy ,he just doesn't fit that mold and I think he came across as goofy.
@johnjacob82346 жыл бұрын
Tommy conan Coates I didn't see it like that. But then again I didn't know Graves before the Misfits days. My introduction to him was through the Misfits so I saw through the lens of a completely new fan, and I think it worked. Too bad about the falling out. I think Jerry and Doyle can probably be a bit difficult to get along with, and Graves seems like he would be a bit of a douche at times. Not hating on anybody, I love them all. Just saying what I see

Great interview! Too bad Graves is a Christian, too bad Doyle wants to forget about the Graves era, and too bad Jerry won't open the door for Graves for some more killer music!
@MikeyMcKillYou7 жыл бұрын
Jerry also went Christian, and his dislike to Danzig's anti-Christ style held back the Misfits they are finally doing now... So Graves being Christian has nothing to do with it! If Jerry wasn't all about merch sales and cared more about music, there could be a good chance of Graves era misfits again... Jerry is the king of ruining shit! His own brother wouldn't do anything again until recently with anzig doing some reunions...
@andyjones71216 жыл бұрын
I think its cool that he says he's a Christian even though he knows how unpopular that is with his audience. Its good to see people with principles, not just putting on an act for people.

Danzig is more anti-Catholic than "Anti-Christ" - he has stated his personal beliefs are more in line with Martin Luther in that Luther believed that the Catholic Church represented Satan on Earth.
