It's a disgrace that the O'Keefe family have such closed minds and law enforcement lying and acting as they did that they want someone in prison so badly they overlook facts and law enforcement agencies unbelievable anti professional investigation. The criminals were in that house hopefully one day they open their eyes and see what really took place.

@@Victoria_USA_ What really happened was Karen Read, while drunk and angry, hit John O'Keefe with her SUV and left him to freeze in the snow. The O'Keefe family NOT believing the contrived story that Karen told, which was the only way to explain her tail light pieces at the scene of his body, shows they are sane and rational people. This conspiracy theory was taken directly from the headlines today of people willing to believe the MOST unbelievable stories. It is a sad commentary on our society today. People, who have life experiences that don't leave their computer screens, are willing to believe the story that conforms with their nightly movie selections. Corrupt cops commit murder and frame innocent, white girl for the crime. We are doomed in the USA. Common Sense is no longer common.

She becomes complicit in the CW inappropriate bringing of this case with lying Troopers, Failed Evidence, No experts that agree on anything, or even actually were experts, Witnesses with a literal Dog in the Fight, and FBI recusing the case based on stating to all- it was not a case.____ If the judge in RUST could DISMISS the case based on Prosecution error, THIS JUDGE should follow suit and at least poll the jury for counts 1 & 3! _____

@@MsGroovy51 i like your writing style - it’s very good. but you’re completely wrong on this. there is two pieces evidence that matter - her car log and john’s cell phone gps - they clearly state that john was hit by her car and never entered the house. its unimpeachable evidence. all of the other stuff is just baseless gossip - none of it matters at all - it shouldn’t even have been in the trial. why is colin albert a witness? there is zero evidence he has anything to do with this - unless the defense can show something that ties him - the judge should not allow him to be called. the defense needs to go search the house, go get the dog - whatever they need to do to get some evidence to be allowed to allowed to bring this silliness into the trial.

I watched the entire trial and that was worst case ever. I don’t believe the prosecution should have ever brought charges against her. There was way many other people to look at. That entire police department should investigate for their actions and participate in this crime. I don’t believe she had anything to do with it. I am speaking from some legal experience. I spent years trying to get my law degree before my Multiple Sclerosis took over. I worked for several years for different Federal Attorneys and State Attorneys. I just don’t believe that the police department should have been the who did the work for one of their own officers who died. An outside source should have been involved right from the beginning.

So you believe that during the same time that John was going through a bad relationship with Karen with constant arguments, confirmed through their texts that someone else came along and killed him.. but not Karen though?.. Not the one who was absolutely raging at him that night, the person who said "John, I hate you you're a loser and a pervert" but someone else. So there were at least two or possibly more people raging at poor John that night.. Karen and his "killers". The odds of that happening make it improbable to believe.. in Karen's own words.."you would be hard pressed to find someone who didn't like John" But on the night he was killed ..he had more than one person who didn't like him.. Karen said she "hated" him.. Why would they need to frame someonel.if they did something? When they could've just said they accidentally hit him with their car. If Proctor was prepared to cover up for them then, he would've accepted it as an accidental death.. case closed. It takes more effort to frame someone.. why not place him on a neighbour's lawn and take themselves out of the situation altogether? Why didn't Karen knock on the door and demand answers on the night or the day after or ever? How did Karen think she may have "incapacitated him".. if she had seen him walk inside? And finally if they are protected and the whole town is corrup then, why did they charge Chris Albert for hit and run years earlier? So they will cover up a murder for the Alberts but not a hit and run? .. They followed the evidence in that case and arrested one of the Alberts!! The evidence shows that Karen was drunk enough and angry enough to hurt John that night... she had more reason and motive than anyone else... the only people involved in a cover up is Karen and her defense team.

The FBI already conducted a thorough investigation (including a Federal Grand Jury and subpoenas issued against BA, BH, CA, MP, etc) and finalized it via a 3,700 page report - finding no evidence of a frame job and conspiracy, and BA, etc, having no involvement in the passing of JO (MP’s text messages being the worst thing in it according to an ex FBI agent). Hence no charges/indictments for crimes/public offences, etc, were laid against any of them and the KR trial proceeded on. None of the alleged frame job and conspiracy theory matters if there’s no evidence to prove it, it doesn’t show a crime and no indictments/charges have been laid, still only against KR. FBI is over - not sure what part of that some people don’t understand.

@@katrinat.3032 yet, neither side hired the experts from ARCCA for Read's trial. And you can literally look at the man's injuries on his arm and see it is an obvious animal attack. And the injuries were absolutely inconsistent with being hit by a 6,000 pound vehicle leaving only marks on a section of his arm and miraculously NO WHERE else on his body. And while the ARCCA experts have actual science on their side, the DA had a cop that had taken a couple of courses who had no understanding of physics whatsoever. Not fair to condemn jury as a group. Speaking as a reasonably smart practical professional with 30+ years of experience in my field, I've been stuck working with people who are obstructionist, impractical, indecisive, stubborn, or just plain stupid, as part of a team required to make a decision together. Assuming the scuttlebutt is true about full consensus of Not Guilty of Murder and Leaving Scene charges, a bright group of people could be stuck with a small subset who fixated on Read as guilty of manslaughter, whether they felt need to find guilt for something or had some bias toward LEO or prosecution, dislike for Read- we'll never know the details. But this outcome doesn't mean that most jurors were conscientiously trying to "work smarter", coming to conclusion it wasn't smarter to keep deliberating. The law of diminishing returns kicks in, and you cut your losses to get TF out.

For petes sake, the video of KR backing into JOs car then driving away, shows the tail light was "cracked" but still "in tact"..that proves to me that the tail light pieces that were found later at the crime scene were planted!..AJ said one piece was the size of a salad plate!.. Jenn Mc did the search "hos long to die in cold" at 2:27am, then deleted it. The report and the expert showed that search WAS done at 2:27am..Jenn denies doing the search at that time stating the report is incorrect. She admits doing both searches at 6:23 and 6:24am. Why aren't those times wrong instead of the 2:27am search. Because she did that search just mere hours before JO was found.. The magic hair on the bumper had to be planted as well. There is no way that hair would stay on the bumper when the car traveled 75 miles in a blizard!..

No shade to Vinnie, but his opening comments are sensationalism. Does a jury 'decide' the absolute truth? 'Not guilty' doesnt equal 'innocent', by definition it means 'not proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt based on evidence '. If there had been full verdict of Not Guilty on all charges, would that give 'closure' to OKeefe family, if they wanted guilty verdict. The evidence was tainted beyond repair, as demonstrated by behavior and testimony of chief investigator. As the infamous OJ claimed after his acquittal: "you can either believe the cops tried to frame an innocent man or the cops tried to frame a guilty man". If the cops look dirty and evidence is manipulated, it almost doesn't matter if Read's car hit him or not; honest jurors will see reasonable doubt. Even skumm-bag Proctor's texts claiming he was sure Read hit OKeefe, he said he didn't know if it was by accident. There will be controversy about this case no matter what happens next, and there will be no 'truth' established.

If, as is being reported, they disagreed on Count two, having agreed Read was not guilty of charge 3, that is what is known elsewhere as a perverse verdict.

Hopefully, Vinnie knows that Karen had nothing to do with the passing of John's sister and brother in law. Nor did she orphan their children, in fact fact she got close to and truly cared for them. He seems to be piling all that in with this trial. Justice for John and the O'Keefe family was extremely compromised by the corrupt police investigating his clearly brutal murder.

I do NOT feel sorry for Paul. His brother clearly got beaten to death by his brothers in blue, not hit by a car. And his family is standing by the men that lead to his HORRIFIC death. KR told LE that she damaged her taillight the “night” before but didn’t know how (confirmed by testimony and her arraignment hearing) and had also told Kerry Roberts and Jen McCabe (KR admits this via a later interview). If KR was referring to hitting JO’s SUV after 5:00 am (and after she had allegedly gone to sleep around 1:30 am) she would not have used the word “night” but would have said “morning”. Indicating she knew she hit JO that night and it was hitting him that damaged her taillight. Full stop.

The defense didn’t get it done. Whilst the prosecution has a burden of proof, when the defense said KR was framed, in the eyes of the jury they made this case a binary decision - either she’s guilty or she was framed and put the burden on themselves to deliver at least something proving it and definitively. They didn’t ask the big questions of the big witnesses, couldn’t name/prove the alleged third party culprit, didn’t prove the alleged frame job and conspiracy and didn’t get a not guilty verdict (nor in one day as alleged).

The defense motion contradicts the jury foreman’s note to the judge, including the jury; was deadlocked (was split and never able to make a decision), did not announce any verdicts in open court, failed to fill out any verdict forms and was dismissed by the judge upon a hung jury. The defense called for a mistrial and did not; ask for a verdict on a count/s, and submit to the court that they would take a verdict on that count/s, and that on the count/s they were hung on a mistrial could be declared. What occurred is not double jeopardy and has no rational/proper basis and is bound to fail: Blueford v Arkansas, 566, U.S. 599 (2012) - Supreme Court.

To all of those convinced of Karen Read’s guilt, how do you dismiss the independent ARCA expert’s analysis which was not refuted by any credible scientific analysis? At the very least, it propels this case far beyond ‘reasonable doubt’ toward exoneration. Isn’t our nations standard of “guilt beyond a reasonable doubt” a cornerstone of civil rights and a requirement for conviction? This case should never have been brought. It is egregious prosecutorial overreach. John O’Keefe deserves true justice and honest pursuit of the truth. The fact that the commonwealth was allowed to bring a second degree murder charge allowed all kinds of erroneous and prejudicial information to trial which tainted jurors opinions through character assassination. Judge Cannone blew this on many levels. If any charges were allowed it should have been limited to manslaughter and this would have been a completely different (and far fairer) trial.

The lack of a timely, unbiased, proper investigation, and the favoritism/special treatment toward the thin blue line guarantee we may never know what happened to JO. It doesn’t have to be a vast conspiracy that involved all-rather, an improper initial investigation and willingness of a few key players to look the other way or cover for a chosen few and a corrupt and blood thirsty DA’s office. @@user-ji5gz5fu3gyou are welcome! I totally get what you say and as a newcomer to the facts prior to the trial, I was open to her potential guilt and the case against her and have vacillated before coming to my opinion. She’s no doubt, guilty of DUI and I certainly get the negligent manslaughter charge (although I don’t believe the burden of the CW was met because of reasonable doubt). As for the “I hit him(?) being an admission, a question, or the utterings of a someone in the midst of hysteria complicated by her MS (which affects the brain and emotions)--I feel like the memories of the first responders were contaminated by discussing the case on an ongoing basis-- nothing nefarious on their parts-- just the reality of memories being imperfect , faulty and malleable. The contemporaneous (earliest) records show that not one of the first responders or witnesses reported anything other than “I hit him” being a question she asked in a panic. What would have been so hard about recording all of these initial interviews-- and formally interviewing everyone immediately after? What about taking photos of the tail light at the earliest opportunity? Securing the scene? Taken holistically as you suggest, these failures and facts combined with the ARCA report and a prejudiced and rogue investigator hell-bent on railroading an individual, the bizarre behaviors of BH and BA and the “phonegate” are enough to dismiss the charges against her. While the guilt of anyone else was never established , it adds to the reasonable doubt that something more was going on there. My biggest concern with our justice system is the risk of imprisoning an a potentially innocent person and these types of investigations based on confirmation bias and investigative failures are what lead to false convictions. So even though I understand the things the make her appear potentially guilty, it’s the “beyond a reasonable doubt” burden that I stand behind and that was not met in my mind.

Maybe she resembles a woman your bf/husband had an affair with. You may have suppressed the memory.

She is not guilty. Saw a show from a criminal investigator showing how John was hit over the head with a tire iron. Then placed in the snow. The Albert family covered the crime up and sold the house among other things.

Oh no, not another ridiculous theory. When will it stop? She admitted hitting him.

It’s ridiculous how people believe everything that comes out from the defense team! 🤓 People are so easily deceived!

I'm not saying she's guilty, but there's no way they can prove she's guilty beyond A reasonable doubt. This is a very easy, not guilty verdict. There's just way too much going on here and they do not have any real evidence that she did this. This trial is insane

Thank you. 1. Convicting Karen of 2nd degree wouldn't serve justice to John's family, either. 2. If the jury could have considered lesser charges or Karen was offered a reasonable plea deal, justice might have been served. 3. I think it's a win for Karen. She is guilty of something, nothing sinister.
