Ha. Hardly a war. These are too exceptional musicians listening to and supporting each other in some riveting drum duets

That household must have been Crazy. LOL. I was the only drummer in My household and it drew enough attention.

Can we mix in a little Wipe Out or something dudes? I am a pro rock drummer that loves both you guys. Carmine is one my mentors. I am 68. This dual solo bores even me! And my drum solos are a dull as dishwater!😂

Impossible ;-). They look older in this video. Especially Carmine's Mapex Drumkit looks like 1994 or mid of the nineties. Around 1994 plus X would correspond with their looks/hair also. in contrast 1983 Vinnie looked a lot younger, mostly with shorter hair.

@@drumstudio1 are they good drummers?

It’s a real tough call for me.. I think maybe Carmine might have a slight edge… but, Vinnie played with DIO. So, I can’t make up my mind..

Carmine was a larger force in the bands he was a part of... His drumming left a larger impression on me than Vin's. That isn't to take away from him, just that Carmine was a bit more in the spotlight, even if his bands were less successful...

I met Carmine on tour with Ted Nugent back in August of 1981. He definitely left a positive impression on me. Very cool dude!

FIRST OFF.. They've both made the best rock songs ever in their career and or enjoyment and have the capabilities ... But!.. but!!..Uuuugh!!! Hate.... Haaaaate the drum tuning. Carmen's kick drums are tight and great while his toms sound looney tunes Loosey goosey.. While Vinnie's kick is horrible without another head. So garage band like! Their soloing is so one dimensional . Why?! You can do so much more.. once they get a groove they jump out and show off their paradiddlee 4/4 . This footage is painful. Soloing sucks. Their capabilities are better than most. But so one dimensional. With that said. IT DOES NOT TAKE AWAY THEIR HISTORY OF ROCK HISTORY.

Interesting - I find it the exact opposite. The sounds are rough and raw, and that perfectly transports the energy. Garage? Hell YEAH! :). That Vinny isn't a great soloist is a known fact - I was actually positively surprised by his performance here. But what I loved most about it was that utterly FAT "brotherly time feel" - when they play together they're tighter with one another than each of them would've been with their own recorded previous takes, it has such a strong BONDED feel! That's what you want from music, why the hell do they not have a band where they both do double drumming? That would be the most energetic thing EVER. Unless they let some modern drum techs and engineers "fix" their drum sounds haha.
