There's a sequel on the DS already, and it's a way better Zelda game than any of the actual Zelda games on the DS. I don't know if people just aren't aware of Okamiden or if it has some bad reputation I've never heard of, but either way it's 100% worth checking out.

I didn't even know it was for PS2, it seemed like a perfect Wii game, and that's exactly all it was. A paintbrush that didn't listen. Barely got anywhere with it. Man I'm hoping Vinny someday plays Okami. It's a text-heavy game but it is truly a piece of art, and it scratches that Zelda itch as a game modeled after the Zelda games of the 2000s. Kamiya is still interested in getting a proper sequel going which gives me hope

@warbossgegguz679 Oh no, Kamiya has explicitly stated he is interested in a direct sequel to Okami, as he felt he left it unfinished. Ikumi Nakamura was also asked about the sequel last year and she gave a very uncertain but hopeful answer. I also thought about it and realized how much I think a Vinny playthrough of Okami would be a nightmare, if his FF7 Rebirth playthrough is anything to go by

@gnbman It isn't the most varied combat but you have options, largely down to the way you choose to set up Amaterasu's primary and secondary weapons. Granted, the main draw of Okami is the story, but the combat is pretty fun, especially as you learn more abilities from the dojo

Vinny doesn't do long playthroughs of games that aren't Nintendo or Resident Evil. Jabroni Mike plans to play it someday because of David Cage, so keep an eye out for that if you're interested.

I'm surprised that it took this long for Okami to show up on a Vinesauce stream. It's an old favorite, and comes off to me as something Vinny might like. Then again, most people wouldn't expect it to be a hybrid of Capcom's The Legend of Zelda games and Devil May Cry, so I can understand it sort of flying under the radar.

The allegations of racial/sexual harassment at Quantic Dream on top of the controversial shower scene in Beyond: Two Souls (it was controversial because the character model used in the scene was VERY anatomically accurate, while most games use doll anatomy when it comes to off-screen nudity, as the player would never see anything else anyway. The game "glitched" and disabled the fixed cutscene camera and allowed players to see Jodie's entirely naked body, which was anatomically accurate. Elliot Page found out what David Cage had done and sued Sony for allowing explicit imagery of him to be put in the game without his consent or knowledge. Allegedly Cage's previous game, Heavy Rain, suffers from a similar issue.) may have something to do with it.

Okami is one of my favorite games, so it was really fun corrupting it as my first dive into to the RTC. indigo prophecy on the other hand got great corruptions but playing through it felt actually painful. (I also had to mute the music in some sections due to really loud chirps)
