nintendo continues to move the industry forward yet again with the brave decision to make this game's final boss a literal colonoscopy

Oh god seeing Vinny die just when he was so close to finishing the battle was heartbreaking. I found the battle genuinely fun and hype, but admittedly it does feel a bit too long to go through even with the ultimate echoes on your disposal.
@bulkypigeon8 сағат бұрын
I feel like his commitment to only using lynel was his downfall, having multiple lower level units to divide and conquer on the arms makes the fight go SO MUCH faster, and feel more frantic and fun. Thats not to say he is playing the game wrong ofc, just my opinion on how the fight was meant to go.

Damn, this really leaves me wanting a game where you get to play as both Link and Zelda and swap between them. Especially now that they’ve got a new canon playstyle for Zelda that they can iterate on.

I enjoyed my time with the game, but I get people's and Bronto's complaints. I think a game so focused on giving the player freedom and ability to find creative solutions to problems shouldn't have been so combat oriented, especially when it comes to boss fights. It gets tedious when you have to spawn an NPC to fight for you and wait until it figures out what you want from them, basically adding 2 extra steps to you just pressing a button to hit the enemy yourself. They are definitely onto something though, and if given the chance to make another game with Zelda as a playable character, I'm sure they would improve on this formula a lot.

I feel like Vinny may have relied on the Link abilities more than I did in my playthrough, and I feel like that may have thrown him off a bit when he couldn't use them in the endgame. I was way too paranoid about not having enough energy to use Link mode when I really needed it, so I got the hang of deploying minions to do most of my combat for me, y'know, like a stereotypical royal would. 😆 Of course, conversely, I never got non-awkward at using Link's sword when I needed to, so I had a lot more trouble with the non-final bosses of the game than Vinny did, since they pretty much all require at least a little of that. Give and take, I guess. I did enjoy this game and its more... dare I say "hands off" approach to combat, it seems like the overall opinion on this game has been "good, but not great", so if Nintendo does another game starring Zelda, they may be well-advised to make her at least a little more active in a fight without having to all but literally making her turn into Link first. I mean if nothing else, there is some precedent in the series for her to be proficient with a bow.

It's cool to see Zelda get her own game (again), and it was fun to see her fight alongside Link at the end, but I am a little confused as to why the game was sponsored by that PRIME Energy drink.

This was something i saw on a video about Echoes of Wisdom, but it is a pretty cool idea The world was created by the Goddesses to contain Null, the nothing. And the Triforce symbol is 3 Holy triangles with an empty spot in the middle lol

I really loved EoW and especially the endgame of it. I had a blast dodging between the attacks and summoning burst damage echoes (i never got lynel and rarely used lvl 3 enemies) I do feel like the game could suffer from its own freedom though. I made it a point to use the echoes in each new area without relying on the same 3 echoes like some did, and I had a decently challenging time with it on hero mode. But I can see why others wouldn’t feel as positively as I do.

And also, it was about time that zelda went kirby mode for the finale, tonal shifts and eldritch horror are some of my favorite things. (Majora probably comes close but that whole game was fucked up so the shift wasnt as drastic)

@sammon14158 сағат бұрын
I feel like Zelda should've gotten some kind of basic attack move so that the player doesnt feel like they're just watching and waiting for their Pokemon to hit the enemy. Maybe she could have used a rapier to do little stabs and contribute damage, but not too much as to take away from using echoes at all.

@bulkypigeon9 сағат бұрын
My guess is that the triforce has been forgotten in this version of hyrule and so they just refer to it in other terms. Kinda like when they refer to the triforce as the golden power in other zelda games. Prime energy absolutely is a weird name for it though.
@GARGANTUANMASKEDFISH5 сағат бұрын
In the Japanese script it's referred to as "Great Power" or something close to that. English translators have sort of become notorious for bad translations and inserting memes into the script so it really wouldn't surprise me if it was done as a bad joke.
@jonespianist31893 сағат бұрын
@@bulkypigeon3 is a *prime* number. "Prime" can also mean "of the best possible quality" as a verb. The Triforce happens to be the most powerful object in Hyrule (object, as opposed to entity).

It was just sort of glossed over that Link was seemingly speaking in that final cutscene. Was that an oversight, or is the implication that Link found his voice again after that fight? The cutscene wasn't too clear on it, as the startled reaction everyone gave to him was some time after he was speaking and seemingly after mentioning something about Zelda.
