Man, they need to work on the interface for selecting things in future LoZ games. The linear menu worked in Breath of the Wild because you were only using it to switch between weapons, bows, arrows, shields, and runes, and all of them had a pretty small selection to work with, even when you upgraded your stashes. In Tears, it was noticeably unwieldy when choosing something to throw/arrow-fuse. A more expanded menu that doesn't require you to hold down a button might be a good idea now.

Honestly the aesthetic single-line-of-shit-to-choose-from look (rough as it is) isn't even that bad on its own, it just needs better options for organization. A fucking "favorites" menu you can hand-create instead of just "most/last used" would do wonders for this and TotK

It’s sad that Vinny didn’t click with Brothership. The game makes a lot of good changes for the series, despite some missteps. Still, good on him for giving it a fair chance. Hope he likes the ending to Echoes of Wisdom.

@@diegomedina9637 It's definitely not a 5/10, Vinny even said so when playing the game. It's more like a 7 or 8 at best. The time of its release was just unfortunate. We just got Mario RPG and Ttyd within a year of this, plus Dragon Quest 3 is right around the corner.

I hate the arrogance of people who go "Well, shrimps and lobster are bugs as well. And you don't complain about that." The reason why we enjoy shrimp cocktails, and lobster dishes because we don't see them as dirty. Meanwhile our minds sees chocolate covered grasshoppers and mealworms and reminded of dirty cockroaches, flies, and maggots like you would find in a hoarder's home, or on a roadkill.

This whole area is the best in the game. The lead up in the Deku prison, the most in depth dungeon, the follow up optional cloud boss. I Did this one right after Hyrule castle and it made the ice mountain and fire goron dungeon disappointing in comparison

As much as I hate to say it, I'm not really looking forward to Vinny playing Stalker 2. I feel like its not gonna get a fair shake, since it is a heavily atmospheric game. Plus, Vinny only really played Shadow of Chernobyl and I don't even remember if he finished it or even cared for it. To me it just feels like its a box to check cause its a big release for this year.

I'm really disappointed Vinny won't be beating Brothership but I almost saw it coming, though I hoped he would finish. Shame he's gonna be missing some of the really cool stuff later in the game. It's kind of a vicious cycle with how much viewers (me included) are constantly asking him to play more of the M&L games , which has made him only increasingly more reticent to actually do it. At this point he's really looking to only play the slam-dunk entries because he's more selective about long games with how much stuff is coming out to play.

I think this game instantly fails and even worsens in avoiding the problem the game deva tried to avoid the moment the player gets an overpowered echo like the Lv3 Darknut. Once you can destroy every enemy in one button press, the whole thing becomes a breeze beyond the occasional puzzle and elemental attack required. The entire reason they used Zelda was to avoid players ignoring the echo mechanic in favor of sword, but that falls apart when the player chooses to use a Darknut or Lynel from now on.

Just like how Link demonstrates wisdom (solving puzzles) and power (combat challenges) when he’s the main hero, Zelda has to demonstrate all 3 aspects of the Triforce when she’s the hero too.
