@@CounterNerdI think a more fair comparison would be the Cyberpunk 2077 trailers which showed streets full of people and cars despite the actual game being a barren wasteland. For some reason AAA devs tend to focus on graphical quality of their worlds than actual quality of their worlds and I hope gta doesn't fall into the same trap (which is propagated by dumbass fans). Given Rockstar's increased focus on multiplayer content, along with the two protagonists in this game clearly being a romantic couple, I'm curious if they will attempt to add co-op functionality into the campaign - one player plays as the woman, the other plays as the man, and they both do main story missions together, but they can also separate and do side missions and explore individually (with all of the side missions having unique interactions depending on which protag takes part in them, with exception to character-specific activities). That would be pretty cool if done right.

I strongly relate to what you said about GTA 3 blowing you away. To this day it's my favorite in the series (and GTA as a whole is my favorite video game franchise) because no game has blown me away like GTA 3 did. I can still remember the very first time I saw it, when I walked into a room at another family's house during a party and saw the older kids (I was 9 in 2001) driving a Taxi through the Red Light District like it happened yesterday. I remember vaguely following the prerelease media for Vice City (I have one particular memory of telling a friend "it's gonna have motorcycles this time") and fully following it for San Andreas, eating up every trailer, screenshot and magazine article I could get my hands on, and then doing it all over again for every game that followed. Yeah, I was arguably much too young to be so invested in GTA, but no other game - no other media in general - has ever connected with me the way it does. Waiting until 2025 is going to be tough (especially if I have to buy a console, which is looking increasingly likely) but I am flabbergasted every time I watch the trailer and I am almost as anxious as I am excited because of how high my expectations are. I already expected this game to be groundbreaking, but the trailer somehow still exceeded my expectations. I genuinely am not ready for this game, but hell, I guess I've got a year or more to get ready.

I really wonder if this is going to be the old vice city expanded and renewed. I know the map of Vice city by heart and would love to see some of the old buildings in the game as a nod to the previous ones (like the Ice cream factory, Vercetti Estate or the Nightclub).

it feels surreal tbh, i think this game is going to feel the most like a mirror of real life america and internet culture more than gta 5 ykwim. anyway i hope the writing is still top tier we've rarely seen a badly written rockstar protag hope it stays interesting

Regarding wherever they go for the next game, rather than Liberty City, I'd love to see Las Venturas make a full appearance since it didn't make it into GTAV's map.

I don't think a KZbin video has trended this hard, maybe ever. Like they could announce Minecraft 2 right now, and that would still be a less anticipated game than GTAVI

I love Minecraft but I would literally not care about Minecraft 2 and wouldn't watch the trailer. Like knowing Microsoft they'd make it all minimalist flat textures and have weird springy lively animations for everything.

All of these clips in the trailer compilation look like cutscene footage. Rockstar doesn't do pre-rendered cutscenes, even the fact I'm stating this is kudos to the graphics department. Regardless, the leaks show gameplay parallel to GTA 5, and we don't exactly know the device specifications. Besides, the tiktok videos, I have high suspicions those are promotional material not found in the game.

i'm so happy since the trailer dropped .i feel really REALLY happy and thrilled as I haven't felt in the gaming sphere for a very long time . After i have seen a official date and what they are going for i have only one fear! We can't stop it but under no circumstances can we lose physical media until the release of GTA VI, no matter what it costs, no matter what it takes. It will be a difficult 2 years, we are outnumbered, many will fall and cost us a lot of energy, but we have to endure it until the release!! That won't happen on our watch!! I say the same here as on Mutahars video and i will say it at every video i will see to this topic.
