I love that you’re incorporating mental health into your podcast. I enjoyed the strategies Dr. Phillipson had to share it’s definitely a lot of letting go of control and acceptance of that. Some of the work sounds like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. The concept of showing the brain a different response is what I tell my clients all the time that the brain is malleable and that also instills hope. The only thing I would say as a LMFT I don’t agree that the term psychotherapists is an unregulated term. We as therapists/clinicians have gone through higher education and a lot of hours in providing clinical care. It is important to always ask during your first appointment if they are a licensed or unlicensed therapist. Other than that it was a great episode.

This was truly amazing…I say it too often but there is a lot of people breaking their heads trying to be normal and not seem so crazy, it is very sad some people turn to drugs instead of turning to help. Thank you again Vinny for being so open and using your platform to show the rest of the world these things people struggle with. Lol hope you find yourself a “hot” girl soon. So you can tell us all about how to be more like her..

The way I groaned with Dr. Phillipson when Vin said “if they’re texting me back then I’m not interested” 😅. I felt both reactions. Dating is a struggle and I feel validated that most everyone agrees. This whole episode was great though; can’t wait to hear more like this one!

As an older (than you) highly educated person who has watched JS AND JFV to escape my own reality, it was impressive to see the intellect behind the proverbial party/f-boy (although I might suggest those “numbers” are based in pathology that I hope you’re looking into) in this podcast. Lol-but not. It was also nice, as someone who lives in the south, but who lived in Europe for a decade, to listen to the perspective of Dr. Phillipson. In my part of the country we aren’t as fortunate to have such skilled mental health professionals in our area! Very impressive podcast that certainly hasn’t received the credit it should have received. One suggestion: If any comment really resonates with you, give it a “like.” Bethenny Frankel has far more listeners-and much more money-and she interacts with her audience. Be gracious. Just sayin

Thank you for using your platform for awareness. I’ll never forget seeing you leave jersey shore and try to explain what anxiety was to people who didn’t understand. Especially in a time when it wasn’t ever talked about. It’s important to keep learning and growing and a lot of this was super helpful 🫶🏻💚🩵💜

Smart doctors have been using “hypnotic” suggestion (speaking from a place of where the patient believes in your authority and ability to heal) for years. Not just for warts. Some do it for additional “anesthesia” to ensure patients don’t feel pain. You should read Joseph’s book about the power of subconscious mind and you’ll realize why everyone hates advertisements
