❤ great result. I have made the trousers from this pattern and it’s one of my favorite makes. I like how you did the pockets, I have wanted to make another pair and pockets like this would be something I would like to do.

Glad I could help! I find getting out of my own head about how it will look on me is often my biggest hurtle so I get it. I wish more pattern companies offered various sized models for the try on photos.

Interesting, I was just looking at dungarees yesterday and noticed that many ready-made ones had no pockets. So today I'm looking at sewing patterns instead. McCall's M8204 looks very quick and easy. Thanks for all the tips.

Awesome, it was meant to be. I have picked up M8204 the last time there was a big pattern sale, it looks very forgiving, and you could easily add more pockets to that one. Best of luck, my friend.

These are so cute! I also so love the personal name patch! I hope it's ok to ask on sizing that you used/or made for you? I am asking because I have never made any clothes for my self, and it seems like the patterns/sizing are not easy 🥺And also I keep seeing others that know how to change or up-size patterns, I hope you can help me? Thank you for sharing this

Hi there friend! Thanks so much for watching. For myself, I make a size 18 and have a 45 inch bust. I always find that it is easier to select my Simplicity and McCalls patterns by that measurement because it is my widest point and then take it in where it needs to. Trial and error. BUT that is not the case for everyone and every brand pattern. If you look on the pattern back, there is a chart that shows you yardage. Down at the bottom of the charts, there is a list of finished sizes. You want to aim for somewhere in between the "Yardage size" at the top and the "Finished size" depended on how much "ease" or wiggle room you want. Take these overalls for instance. the waistband is supposed to sit at your natural waist. You wouldn't want the ease of a pair of jeans to be too much more than an inch. So if your natural waist is 32 you want to make the size that indicates the finished size is 33 or somewhere in that ballpark. Mock ups are essential to getting it right. You can make adjustments directly on your mockup, then use the mock up as your new pattern pieces. I hope that helps! Best of luck to you 🧡
