Just discovered your channel and it's absolutely awesome thank you. I've always resisted vintage chainsaws as I didn't want another obsession but you have definitely convinced me I need to start looking 😊

Now, if we could just get all the manufacturers now, look at how good they did it back then the transmission for the bar is outright genius like I think all the major manufacturers need to take a page out of the spec sheet for this thing because if you come across stuff from the 30s the 40s and 50s or maybe even before that if it was taken care of, I’ve seen stuff like this like a sing a singer, sewing machine, matter fact, speaking of sewing machine, my grandmother had a few of those old black singers, sewing machines from way back in. They had the footpedal also and still work to this day, but like I was saying if you come across stuff that was built good from a reputable company a long time ago whoever had it took care of it. They still work today like time never had an effect on them, but yes bravo that’s a nice humdinger of a saw

Couldn't agree with you more, the quality of those machines back in the day far exceeds anything today, i have stripped the gearbox on this chainsaw but on another saw, the danarm whipper, (spoiler alert haha ) which shares everything but the engine, and the quality of engineering is fantastic, and i also have 2 singer sewing machines, and again, still work, still used frequently and are about 120 years old. another great thing about the old stuff, is when its not in use, it just looks so cool.
