Vintage 1968 Hoover Convertible 1124 Upright Vacuum Cleaner

It's so awesome that you have your aunty's former Hoover Convertible 1124 ... love your recollections of using it in 1986 as a young lad and other background! Do you know the color scheme (taking for granted that UK enthusiasts have compiled a timeline of models and colors as those in the US did)? To me, it looks similar to the US Dial-A-Matic model 1110 made from 1964-66 in Peacock Blue, Pearl Gray, & Deep Mist Gray. The Hoover UK twin model 5134 and blue shampoo-polisher model 5464 also seem to be color matches or complements. Great job on the resto!

Actually some Hoover Convertibles can have the zip bag designed or hard case models of really good vacuum sweepers either with or without power drive as before the concept models in 1978

Yes it was a ground up refurb. I think I managed to get a Numatic Henry HEPAFlo bag to fit!

I just noticed that your cleaner has the larger Hoover medallion rather than the smaller Hoover decal. The US made the change in May 1966. Do you happen to know when Hoover UK did?
