Vintage 1979 National MC-7770 Ultra Compact Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner

Here's a sweet little gem that I picked up some years ago made by Panasonic under their National brand.
The Japanese do love their compact vacs and this is no exception. It's so teeny-tiny, yet is powerful enough to cope with most cleaning tasks.
This is yet another play on the Hitachi Stow-Away however I think this cleaner actually pre-dates Hitachi's effort.
The design is very clever on this little guy, I think I actually prefer it to the Stow-Away.
Fun Fact: The Swedish super group ABBA actually did a series of TV commercials for National in the 1970s which were broadcast in Australia!! Don't believe me? I don't blame you! But check this out; it BLEW MY MIND when I saw it for the first time XD
