I still think this is the most beautiful guitar ever designed. Just beautiful aesthetics. What a great job by Bernie Rico.

I've loved that guitar since I saw Rick Derringer playing one.

The 3 Mimi toggles work in this order the closest to the chicken head knob is the phaser ( pickup selector has to be in the middle position) the other 2 are as follows middle is coil tap for neck pup and the one closest to the tone knob is the coil tap for the bridge pup. Plus all the electronics are passive until you flip the mini toggle on for the booster and the chicken head is a 5 position tone filter

I got me one of the NJ series from the 90s. Awesome guitars.

One of my favorites! I couldn't afford one of those so I got an old NJ series neck through, it's amazing!

To understand the switching on these BC Rich guitars you have to understand the amp of choice was a single channel Marshall or Hiwatt at the time. The guitar had a boost. It had a phase switch and single and humbucking selector switches. (4 wire pickups). So it could go from clean to overdrive to out of phase for pitch harmonics and special lead sounds. That is why the guitar has that many switches. To make a roaring JCM800 docile or to let the sounds explode and overdrive. All controlled from the guitar.

why don’t the players have the bridge filed, sanded, polished to go with the frets … big difference for me

The only guitar I's consider selling my Les Pauls for. I've got a 1980 Eagle deluxe bass. Top shelf craftsmanship. Only problem is finding a tech in my area who knows how to deal with these.

Every once in a while, Slash breaks out a red Mockingbird with a Floyd Rose tremolo.

Saw one in red at a pawn shop in the early 90s for $300 came back 2 hours later and gone. Such a classy looking guitar.

Kerry King used this model in the early 80s. I think maybe mustaine had one too while ellefson had the bass model

Cool guitar. I would buy a tone pros and throw that bridge in the case forever and disconnect all those switches
