WOW what a dramatic review.lol I hope you enjoy this honest review on island fun Barbie. I may go find another one or move onto tropical Barbie! Who clearly was the muse for this doll and other beach dolls to come. I find Barbie beach dolls so interesting, at least older ones. As they all had the same quality as the deluxe dolls, and most had a feature.
I also review a Barbie jeans outfit:) which is a nice outfit, and there’s a variation of that particular costume with real denim. Mines not real denim, but it’s gonna be fine lol
I have action figure reviews coming as well as more restoration and art projects coming.

Loving the reviews! Keep them coming! I've found putting the poxy legs out in the sunshine for a few days helps to diminish the pox and make things less sticky. It doesn't get rid of it, but it does help a lot

Omg I just unboxed the superstar Ken and I think I got knocked out too by that particular smell! I unboxed the superstar too and she had the chicken pox too. Luckily no bugs or smell tho haha

I noticed a lot of Perfume Pretty Whitney dolls have those legs spots as well! But Perfume Pretty Barbie doesn't seem too...or at least mine new in box doesn't and the ones on Ebay don't seem to either. Wonder why Whitney was affected but not Barbie? Maybe the skin color?

It must be a country variation. They were doing something that probably wasn’t the best idea, but had good intentions at the time. The reason they’re a thing is because they were recycling old barbie plastic parts, and mixing it with new plastisol. Which in the long run, leaves the legs to have a chemical reaction like this. The plastics just don’t mix well together and over age are decaying. It’s not a fun discovery when you’re getting these new in box dolls. It reminds me of when I was a child in the early 2000s, and I got the new Barbie’s which were made in Indonesia. Which overtime had sticky legs, because the plastic is decaying, due to a new mix of plastics with old plastics. So they seep oil. It didn’t happen right away, it took about 5 years or so for those dolls to get so sticky my mom threw them out. Sometimes the things we gotta deal with when collecting old items I guess lol

I think the leg marks can still be removed by benzac or hydrogen peroxide
