Very accurate review, I agree with you, it's a kraken watch. I bought the same watch 2 months ago and I'm always in love with it (don't bother the logo and name). Yes the crown is a little bit too thin so the grip is difficult even with thin fingers. The PT5000 is perfectly adjusted on mine, -1 s/d. I prefer the turned engine bezel to the blingy fluted one of datejust homage or to the boring smooth bezel and to my knowledge this is the only tribute with this kind of bezel I'm a big fan of. It's not homaging Air King model, nor Datejust but the Oyster Perpetual Date Ref 1501/15010/15210 all now discontinued, they were 34mm. Now I would like a no date model, an Air King homage and with a signed crown.

Great thorough review 👍 . Nice to see someone homaging older versions, that bezel is much nicer than the bling fluted bezel and the plain one. If they make a non-date version of this I might buy one.

I bought one in blue, it's an amazing compact watch with a bezel that absolutely shines. My only complaint is that Cyclops. It takes over the whole crystal

Nice homage. I really like the vintage Air Kings but I could never wear them - I also have a 7.5 in wrist and they're just too small at 34mm. I also prefer a date function and am one of those guys who actually like the date cyclops. Worthy of consideration in the upcoming Aliexpress sale.

Excellent watch. True competitor for San Martin. And I’m probably the only person who genuinely likes the Octopus Kraken name and branding. And I may be wrong but this isn’t a direct photocopy either. I’m REALLY looking forward to the Baltany review though. Gary had the Red and Simon had the Gold, but this Silver is my bag. I bought the navy blue variant with the PT5000 movement and I am really enjoying this watch. It's my everyday watch and it is so comfortable. I have always liked the vintage style and this model ticks all the boxes.

FINALLY your review for this one! :) I have this on my list in the salmon colour and hope to score this as a Christmas present for myself. Originally wanted a DJ 36 from either Octopus or Sugess but this ones bezel makes it a bit more special and is not an "obvious" clomage in case you're dealing with some halfway savvy people daily.

Gorgeous piece plus I'm a huge pt5000 fan, I'm guessing sub-$200 11/11. IMO they also make the best explorer homage. I had avoided smaller watches til I picked up a 36mm Geckota Airstream and now I'm hooked.

I’m like it’s finally between the new baltany DJ or the O.K explorer. Then I see this. Maybe this is it. A perfect combination of the two. Black dial and oyster bracelet from the explorer. Cool bezel and similar style to the DJ.

I like the combination of the bezel with a modern dial. Would prefer this with a logo on the crown, minor branding on the clasp, and no date to have lume at the 3 and lose the cyclops. Really nice looking watch.

Always enjoy your review with the great B roll. I wish Octopus would listen to their customers more. They desperately need a name change and lose the Cat butt hole logo. I have a real hard time wearing watches with dumb names. Great review either way :)

It's a looking watch, and I like it, but I prefer the look of Baltany and prefer their name too. Octopus Kraken's name is ok for a dive watch but on a dress watch, it just seems out of place.🤔

Funnily enough, AMZWATCH's replicas are perfect for people who can actually afford a luxury watch. Because in those social circles, it wouldn't matter and everybody would just assume it's real. You have a yacht and a beach house in Tuscany, of course that replica is real. There isn't a millionaire out there going around with a jeweller's loupe to scrutinize their acquaintance's watch.
