Vintage Boler, Modern Adventure: A 1000km Camping Quest

We are back on the road and this one is the longest trip we've ever taken with Bella, our vintage 1978 Boler 1700. We're heading to the classic American destination of Yellowstone National Park. Of course, getting there is more than half the fun so we implement one of the key rules of DanOCan Road Trips -- "Interstates are for suckers." We take the scenic route through a series of small Montana towns, trying to squeeze as much in as we can while still adhering to our schedule.

Yep, that's what I need to do from now on. I'd love to get back to Oregon again -- it's been too long. Out of all the places I have traveled, it is the one place that feel like home when I am there -- at least the coastal region.

Ohhh now I want Lobster Bisque and to stop at 3 Points MT!!!! We camped at the Colter Bay Campground back in 2019, and we paid $80/nite😮!!! Then drove to Old Faithful early in the morning. We were such newbies😂, we roll in, no reserveration, but they squeezed us in bcuz we were so small(12ft trailer), among class As, and going early to Old Fathful, we had breakfast there, it was 5 star for $10/US!!! Spoiler alerthe washrooms were amazing...

The camping prices are insane. Our first two nights were $85, third night was $90, and the fourth was $100.

That's a long stretch. Yellowstone was twenty years between visits for me but Montana is a fairly frequent destination lately.
