Had an E-type, which I think was 67, in the Balto. area. After 3 years with a bad knee from shifting and a short court visit for exceeding 100mph (the trooper couldn't catch me until I slowed for an exit). I loved this little sweetheart. After many years, I now have the grown-up version. the XK-8 (2003). It's the perfect one to retire with, but no more rides above 80.

Beautiful. The comp wires should be painted not chrome. The factory said that the competition wheels should only be on the back. My Op dark green '65 dhc (sold now) had them all around and they were put on by the factory! They broke their own rules. :) The reason that they painted them was because the chroming process of the time would embrittle the spokes. Your repos are fine chromed. It looks good chrome. I have a pair of original comp wheels for my fhc but I will buy another wider pair of 6.5" repos for the back and put the originals 5.5" on the front.

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. :-(((
