I have a certina Kim from the 60ies never been serviced and keeps almost perfect time, its manual wind, planing on getting it serviced and a new crystal fitted, I made my own band from leather. Brilliant watch.

Very good service. I´m a great fan of Certina. Great taste - your Grand dad had!

I have the same watch with almost the same story. My grandfather bought it overseas before my father was born. He gave it to my dad when he was old enough and now my dad has passed it on to me. It's a beautiful piece!

I have a Gold Certina Bristol 195 that was gifted to me when I was a teenager. I wore it through high school and university. It finally died , the crystal was cracked. I had it serviced in Geneva back in 1994 , new stem , spring and crystal. I still looks great today , after 30 years since it was serviced. Back then it cost me USD 100. I've owned it since 1970 if my memory serves me right, maybe a few years earlier. It is still elegant today

Awesome! So pleased you had it serviced and restored. I'm sure your grandfather would be really pleased to see you wearing it now 😊

I have one pretty similar. They are good watches. Definitely undervalued. I will buy a few more.

Beautiful watch and the money spent on restorations pales in comparison to the sentimental value. One day you'll pass this watch down along with memories and wisdom. Cheers!

I love this watch!!! Congratulations on having such a fine watch, classic design...iconic....timeless. I hope you can give it to your grandson! I wish Certina would make one like this today. It is manually winding right?
