Everything looks beautiful. I remember well growing up and using the tinsel on our Christmas trees. Very nostalgic and my brother would toss it on the tree in clumps and my mom would remind him to put it on a piece at a time. Happy holiday season to you and your family. Cheryl

That Kinkade painting of the Victorian house is where I work! It’s the Meux Home Museum. I have worked there for twenty years and I love it. It is currently decorated for Christmas and we will have our annual Christmas tea in a couple of weeks. The picture of the museum is quite popular. It’s appears in books and magazines and it’s one of Kinkade’s most popular paintings. It was built in 1888 by the Meux family and they are the only family who lived there. It was never remodeled or changed in any way, every thing is the same as when it was built. Your decor is beautiful as always , I love it! Thanks for sharing and for all of the inspiration!

Oh my goodness!!!! The Meux Home is on my list of Victorians to see and film for the channel!!! I have family that lives in that area and I wanted to try and squeeze in a visit with them and also see this house. I would just love to see it decorated for Christmas! I think it's amazing that you work there! I try to fulfill the dream of me working at a Historic Victorian Home by visiting and filming as many as I can. Thank you so much for sharing some history of the home too, because I had NO idea that was the same home that is in the painting. How special!! You completely made my day when I read this. Hopefully I'll get to meet you when I visit! I'll be the girl filming constantly and asking lots of questions 😉

Appreciate you sharing your thoughts! Believe it or not, there isn't a single ornament touching another on this tree. That's the key to not making it look cluttered, but I did notice that it looked a lot busier once I added the tinsel. I love the maximalist aesthetic though, so I'm loving the look.
