When Amazon and US stores are discounting say the mandalorian speeder bike for $11 and here it’s still $54…or deluxe figures for $10 or less and up here retailers would rather keep it at full retail and throw it out if not sold… it’s just not worth it anymore when literally none of the new stuff we are collecting is going to have any collectible value even 20 years from now

I'm fortunate enough to have every character in this video, I picked these up when they originally came out, some over 25 years ago! Tim - you seem pretty sure the HasLab is going to be The Cantina. I hope you're right, this is the one dream item I've been waiting all these years for. I currently have all my Cantina patrons set-up using two of the cardboard cantina playsets that came out in 1998!! Bring. It. On.

I enjoyed this video 👍🏻, I still feel that the 77-85 figures are mostly far and away the best Star Wars figures ever made, they nailed it with the size and a lot of the figures were quite well detailed, articulation wise, yes not much pose ability but they look superb, I do not have a great knowledge on more modern figures, but I’m trying create scenes from the original trilogy, but I’m not overly precious about what series the figures are from, cost is an issue, and you can never have everything but sadly only have a certain amount of room, I have just purchased a djas puhr figure from 2002, at some point when I can get a cantina playset of some sort I’ll put him in, so I’m just going to go for my favourites but this video has helped me no end so cheers 👍🏻

Brett on Fett recently bought all these and it cost him upward of $600 US - probably more than a haslab itself, I'm fine just kitbashing random aliens into a Cantina, I don't need everything to be 100% accurate..

Great video Tim. Prices in those you can find in UK are mostly very high, but a few still reasonable. I just hope Hasbro include some of the obscure figures, newly tooled, and give us a commitment to releasing more figures in years up to end of 2027 50th anniversary to help us populate the cantina… if it is the cantina. I fear the inaccessibility of some at reasonable prices if available at all may make some people think twice. I don’t want a half empty cantina with little or no hope of filling it … Excited to see what they do 😁🤔

3.75 Bonda Baba is a steal right now on Ebay. For TVC, Hasbro ought to upgrade the hips on both Ponda Baba and Dr Evazan. The legs on both figures are awful. Feltipern is going for obscene prices on Ebay though. Very rare now.

Thanks for another great video. Just for info, 'Kabe' is a female Chadra-fan, and I once heard that 'Djas Puhr's' name is taken from the human name, 'Jasper'. I have always found it quite ironic that pre-existing flight suits and Halloween masks were used create some of the background cantina characters, back in the day, yet Lucasfilm (and later, Disney) are so protective of the use of the images of these characters.

73 named Cantina Patrons in ANH by my count, including the band, but NOT including the main characters and Sandtroopers. 34 have never been made. Both of those numbers don't include random unnamed humans, and there are a bunch of them.

100% decided I’m not filling my cantina if that’s what it is with old figures hasbro need to deliver on this with what’s required full of new figures it may also depend if I back it what the offering is, if they hit me with 3 figures for a cantina and I have to wait 4 years for the rest that’s not inspiring me to spend a lot of cash …. Great vid, Tim! So many amazing characters from the cantina. Fun fact about Mosep Bineed: his likeness was used for Jabba in the Marvel adaptation of ANH. Another one: Ketwol is low-tech in reverse. A little joke about that sculpt in the movie being used for two characters, just as Hasbro did w the toy. No biggie but I think Kabe is pronounced Kah bay. With an ahh sound and a long a sound. Hope we get a Haslab! And a new Hammerhead. Plus the Tonnikas. And it goes without saying: #makethemains

I still need most of these, especially the TLC ones. A TVC re-release with photoreal update would be one of the best things The Vintage Collection could offer. Also, cantina patrons with outdated articulation (proper elbow and knee joints) need to be updated ASAP.

IF they do a cantina Haslab (it will be a beast of a set, so maybe only Wuher would be included) - So with that in mind, I'd be up for a cantina patrons builder pack where they could maybe make one new tooling and then re-use older tooling - like Kal Fas, Leesub, Wioslea (they are the ones I need anyway) to fill out the pack.

If the cantina is the new Haslab then it qualifies for my Mando only collection which means it has the added benefit of only needing a few figures because it was almost deserted in the episode of the Mandalorian called The Gunslinger.

In the Special Editions, many characters were replaced, and one of the new characters was Ketwol. It was noted that the back of the Ketwol puppet's head looked like it could be another alien creature. They reversed it, put a turban over the tusks and trunk (which were now at the back) and filmed it as the character called Melas.

Great video as always Bossk. I will say, i never understood the hype behind all these "blink and you'll miss them" aliens. I like aliens as much as the next guy, but if and i say IF, the HasLab is the Cantina (I'm still holding out some hope its the Maurader and Bad Batch) I'm filling mine with the more notable characters/the ones i find cool. Going more with the "Cheers" style where my bar will be 🎶 where everyone knows your name 🎶 😆

I would hope they wouldnt lock a Farmboy Luke within a HasLab. They dont seem to offer new sculpts either, they are usually retools or repacks on different cards. Ponda Baba on the original Walrus man card would be cool!

I personally wish they would go back to the less articulated/painted figures with more releases. TVC shouldn’t have been meant to be a Black Series copy with less product. There is a certain charm going all the way back to the OG but especially in the earlier 2000s. I’m sorry but you hard core collectors killed the line. Out priced for 4” inches of plastic. Just saying, it’s sad to me personally. Kids can’t afford or play with new figs like they could even 20 years ago. 😢 Question though was the astronaut character ever made?

Please let it not be the cantina ! Or if it is, then TONNIKA SISTERS or nothing ! I would much prefer Hasbro to focus on aliens from the new media from which we have NONE, like so many cool aliens from Solo, or even Rise of Skywalker (Boolio, Klaud...), it's really a shame, what a lost opportunity.

There's a lot of hype and a lot of youtube videos about the HASLAB being the Cantina. I'ts like small group of KZbinrs know that it is the Cantina but won't come out and say it. So they are dropping hints in their videos. Just a observation. If it is the Cantina given Hasbro only cares about the latest media and if it comes with any figures we will get EV-9D9 from the Mandalorian not the Tonnika sisters.

It would make sense because EV-9D9 can have an exclusive Mando cardback for the Haslab but be on a regular, standard ROTJ cardback as a mainline release. Whereas for the Tonnikas, they would only have one cardback, and I don’t think any character should be exclusive to a Haslab.

@@bhodie131 Fair point, but completist collectors want EVERYONE from that scene made, and those two have distinctive enough appearances to warrant figures. And, given the legal issues involved in making them, makes collectors more anxious to see them get made.

I really hope it’s not a cantina. All the speculation has driven up prices on figures most were not interest in. Love the video but not all the speculation and driving up prices.
