K2S0 and IG11 would be very high on my list too. Love the figures and the cardbacks. One of my favourite all time cardbacks is the R2D2 sensorscope one. Very happy that we are getting a release of this soon, but once again hasbro have me scratching my head..why on earth have they removed the 'now with' from the sensorscope text on the front of the card! LOL And year, those R5D4 and Power Droid cardbacks are really nostalgic!

My favorite droid in the Vintage Collection (and probably my overall favorite figure in the Vintage Collection) is the VC18 Magnaguard. One of the few Separatist droids that Hasbro has made 100% definitive in my opinion. It's also one of the few figures I keep a carded version of (non-foil variant), as I mostly collect loose. It desperately needs a re-issue. As for the Battle Droid, I'll never understand why Hasbro didn't just tweak the Geonosis Arena Two-Pack mold slightly and re-paint it. That mold is the perfect height and has great articulation. The current VC78 is way too short and flimsy looking. That VC170 K2S0 is definitely a great figure though, I can totally see why you put it at number one!

The original release battle droid is a stronger mold from what I’ve consistently heard about the rerelease. I was so lucky to have bought 60 of the original despite its obvious shortcomings. I can’t see it getting made better again and I am not compelled to buy that many of anything the way 2022 and onward prices are.

Maybe it's more my age (49) but I am 100% with you on your Top 3. There has always been something magical about the R5-D4 Cardback, The Power Droid (Gonk Droid) is just such a cool figure from ANH and yes, Rogue One is far and away my favorite movie that's not the OTC... although I honestly might like it MORE than ESB so K-2SO is an amazing character and perfect Cardback. Great video! Thank you! I finally got IG-11, and found myself slightly disappointed by him. His left leg is noticeably shorter than the right, so he leans, and is always off-balance, and.I dunno about anyone else's, but the joints on mine are a little too loose.

Incredible that Hasbro did not realise a better C-3PO figure, he's such an important and iconic looking character who has spanned numerous films and other depictions, whether through cartoons or comics. I honestly find it scandalous! C-3PO was my favourite figure from the 1977 releases. Mine was confiscated at school loads of times! New TVC releases *needs* to be done in vac- metal! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 👌

Love the droids and love this list. My top 5 would be: 1. R5-D4 (my very fav TVC cardback) 2. IG-11 3. Power Droid 4. K-2SO 5. R2-D2 (ROTJ) (I would not count Grievous as a droid, I consider him a cyborg).

TVC Super Battle Droid should've been the Target Geonosis version. It's the only one with ankle joints and should be considered the definitive version.

5 Greivous 4 Super Battle Droid 3 Heavy Battle Droid 2 K2SO 1 Gonk Droid I don't have Greivous or SBD but I really hope they get redone soon maybe for ROTS anniversary. The other 3 I do have and I think Gonk and K2 are neck and neck both amazing, and HBD is on my list just cause I used to play the game with my little brother and he loved being the HBD and I'd always be it with him and we'd wreck house with it lol

I wouldn't count Grievous as a droid, he has a humanoid brain, not a programmed CPU. My list: 5. R2-D2 ROTJ (I would put some other TLC BAD figures here if they were on a TVC card) 4. Magna Guard - (I would put HK-47 here if they ever put him on a TVC card) 3. Power Droid - I want to put this as my #1, but the two higher are dramatically better accomplishments. 2. IG-11 - What an amazing figure! Could easily be #1, and is a recent highlight. 1. K-2SO - Have to agree, everything is awesome about the figure and card.

Overall i have only Three from your List and as an loose Collector, i will not take the Cardbacks into Account. So the first is the C-3PO and this Figure really shines when out of the Package, because you can take Parts of his Bodyplates off and there is a highly detailed Underbody... even the Face-Part can be removed and looks just awesome! Then i own the IG-11 and the K2-SO too, which both are really stunning Toys at Hand... i gave both way more bigger Blasters, the IG-Unit got a nice Softgoods Cape and the K2 has a Mini Skull attached on his left Shoulder. Awesome Bounty-hunting Droids! :)

K2 is a good figure and a great character from Rogue One, the best character in movie IMO. I own the figure and glad to have it but would not rate it that high. As an OT sucker at heart, no way to not have Power Droid, R5, R2, and DSD at the top of my list. Good list overall though. I’d also put original battle droid card ahead of other 2.

Good list Tim. No real disagreements on the order, although I probably would've ranked IG-11 higher (I think he's one of the best figures in TVC overall!) If you're going to include cyborgs like Grievous, you should've also added Vader. That's the only nit I shall pick here. 😁 I also think we are still waiting for a definitive version of R2-D2.

Enjoyed this video Tim! Having blury pictures on cardbacks is pathetic from Hasbro in this day & age considering technology we have!! Reminds me of that Princess leia cardback were you can barely see her it's so dark. C3PO such an important charector yet we have a garbage figure. The original Kenner looks better at least they had vac-metal. Such a huge let down by Hasbro when we know they can do this figure so much better & Star Droid figure. Then those battle droids real let down, I actually like them as charectors there hilarious but they are flimsily made. Reminds me of the dodgy weapons that are all bendy lately come on Hasbro use better quality plastic. The ones we had as kids were hard as a rock, these droids & weapons are pathetic! The worst part is these are easily fixed issues by Hasbro yet have intentionally not bothered!! Magna guard what a brilliant figure one of my favourites aslo General Grevious.

You have hit the nail on the head with C3PO. I'd go as far as saying this is the worst figure in the line, he doesn't display at all well with the rest of TVC figures. Close behind is the Battle Droid, I use the Battle Droids from TPM line to army build as they stand better and are built a bit better. My top 5 would be. 1) R5 D4 2) Power Droid 3) IG-11 4) K2- SO 5) 4-LOM

I really dislike the Death Star Droid sculpt - it's so off - the original Kenner one had a more accurate sculpt than that Hasbro one, it at least looked like the costume from the movie - the Hasbro one looks like it is based off a drawing someone did from memory of what they think it looked like, but also they're not a particularly competent drawer.
