If it breaks I reengineer it. It’s not real rigid so having some flex may help it. I’m not sure. Time will tell. Wheelies 🤔.

Hey Mike. What if you had tapped the four posts bungs and used some threaded rod, would have saved a lot of tricky welding? Good catch in your glove, that was spinning away. And those stacks are the bees knees. Cheers take care. Tim.
@ThisOldHotrod8 күн бұрын
I had originally planned to just put a piece of quarter inch stainless plate and tap that but then I decided to use the nut on the washer that really didn’t work. It’s just all trial and error like anything else the way I did it worked out fine. Don’t mind the tricky welding. It helps me learn.
@timferriss9058 күн бұрын
I get that. Cheers.

Really enjoyed your velocity stack building and your gas tank stand, they do look really good. May I add a couple of comments? I really like your 57-8 Olds engine, I'm an Olds fan, and only seen one other hopped up 58 Olds engine. Are you going to cut the top of the Model A body off and make it smooth or leave it the way it is? Also, I noticed that you call your Olds a motor. It is an engine, motors are electric, such as heater motors, wiper motors etc. Also, you say "I'm going to weld it up", when I think you mean "I am going to weld it", just to let you know that the common way of saying it, isn't correct. Take it or leave it, just thought I'd bring it to your attention. I'm watching your build as it is very interesting and I really like it. Go Olds engines.
@ThisOldHotrod8 күн бұрын
@RickGuriel hi Rick. I believe you’ve corrected me several times in the past. I speak how I speak. My apologies if I don’t always use the correct words or terminology. Yes I’m going to cut the body down. I’ve mentioned that several times in the previous videos.
@billmiller71388 күн бұрын
A motor supplies motive power, it doesn’t matter what it runs on. I’ve been involved in racing since the 60s and we have always called them motors. And I’ve heard the same dumb argument just as long.
