I am big fan of these old Electrolux canister vacuums. Very well made and amazing motor sound. It's funny how similar my Lux Royal D790 is considering that it's made in the mid 90's. It has very powerful 1150 watt motor and it powers the full size turbo head very well. You can get those from the German eBay. Those are just quite expensive. I am happy that you got undamaged vacuum from the seller.

I have two Royal Lux D795s I bought in Japan. They were unusual in that the motors sit vertically in the body with the fan facing down and the field assembly on top like a 1980s Kenmore. Huge power though and built to last. One still has the original motor but the other, my daily driver, burned the main board, melted the connector from the motor to the board and a wire on the motor itself burned. Apparently this was a common problem. Now it has a revised D790 main board ( I lost the little light show telling me how much power I was using but kept the two speeds and automatic feature) and the kit came with a brutal replacement motor from Domel. This is a 100 volt machine so electrical parts are really difficult to come by and expensive when you do find them. I use it on a 100 volt transformer though the motor is rated for 127 volts and the cord for 125 volts. It came with a Ze3 power brush and I later bought the K35 hose for it. Good working piece of equipment! The other D795 is original and undamaged.

According to a company brochure the Electrolux (UK) Ltd. automatic cylinder model Z330A was produced from 1972-75 in light grey & charcoal grey with red trim & metallic accents. Awesome cleaner & commentary-thanks!

I love these machines. I have the similar 345 model, three of them. I bought one on eBay in great condition and for a great price. The seller said that he pressed the button, but nothing worked, so he sold it as spares or repair. I said to myself, I bet it's not working because there isn't a bag in it and I was right! I fitted a bag and it burst into life. The only part I can't get for this great machine (and I have tried everywhere) is the hose seal. Would you have any idea where I can get one?

It's very easy to see the resemblance between this and Michael of Vacuumtests' Lux Royale. I was hoping that you'd come across a Model J type of Electrolux when you visited vacuum shops in the US. I also think that you'd like the upright that now Aerus makes. I hope that you can when visiting next year.

No. Euroclean vacuums are made by Eureka-Forbes of India.

We're the UK serial numbers coded by production year? If so '416' may indicate 1974.

@@HooverLux Electrolux Corporation's (USA) weren't, but Electrolux (Canada) Ltd.'s were, so I thought Electrolux UK's might be, as well. I do know that the earlier European models, such as the V, VI, & VII were so marked in their model IDs on their nameplates. Also, Hoover USA's serial numbers were month/year coded beginning in 1988, so Hoover UK's may be, too. Perhaps someone else will read these comments and let us know.

Would it work better with a Miele turbo head? They look like they have a better turbine than the Numatic Airobrush.

@@HooverLux Miele has 35 mm wands and these are probably 32 mm so you might need an adapter.
