I just found one of these in its OHSC near Detroit last week. It’s weird, but I love it. Closet queen. Unmolested. Same color. No flaking on the gold, just gentle fading to chrome on high areas.

I’ve never seen a guitar with a neck set up like that, keep up the awesome stuff

Bought my et290n on 7-7-75 for $68.50. Still in very nice condition. Much less hardware corrosion. Had to replace the jack. It is weird to work on but still love it.

I have this exact guitar which I purchased last year. This model the was first guitar I ever bought back in 1976 which I sold (regretfully). The long tenon neck joint was also used in the 2020 Epiphone "1959 Les Paul Standard" Aged Dark Burst which I picked up this month. It is of course a set neck but the long joint is reportedly for improved resonance. Great video and well done on the clean up!

Nice job John! Interesting neck joint! Makes me wonder how that effects tone. Sounds good and strong!

Sometimes when you take the neck off a guitar little chips would start coming off and then you have to shim the thing

I have been there before lol...... Great tip for the bench 👍

Weird, it's like a set neck, but you bolt it in instead of gluing it. The thing bothering me thought is the output jack placement.

Nice guitar! Really has character and I like the tones. One tip: I believe your microphone is clipping on the recording. If you check your levels, you can record without clipping and then adjust the gain when you process the video.

Thanks! Yea I realized the issue was the lapel mic on my shirt was picking up the amp and clipping, I will fix this for next time. Thanks for watching
