40 yrs ago, I went to Hawaii and found an amazing vintage aloha shirt at a thrift shop that was having a “hurricane sale”. I spent $15. My relatives spent 10x that much on brand new ones that looked tacky and cheap :) What a great haul you made!

You brought a happy tear to my eye when you mentioned that you went to the island of Kauai. I lived there for seven years and wished I had stayed. It's such a sweet island. And the great thing about it is no one can own a beach there. Anyone and everyone can walk any beach they desire. Your pictures were gorgeous and I loved the swimsuit that you got there.

When I was a kid in the 70s, my grandmother had that exact Pyrex set. I remember her using the mixing bowl with her Sunbeam stand mixer when making cookies or cakes.

Looks like it was a FABULOUS trip!🤩 The vintage clothing and prints are beautiful, and the shades too, nothing screams vintage holiday as much as the cool sunglasses 😎🤩 I've always loved everything about the tiki look, and that tiki bar looked so fun!! I barely drink but the atmosphere and decor is super cool! Oh the kitties are a different kind of trip of their own, that one looks like my cat Corona. My brother named her that, it was at the beginning time of the pandemic when she came out of the woods all wet and hungry and skinny, and I fed her and got her back to health, btw the porcelain one was very cool also! A lot of fun as always ! 😃 The pics are awesome!!😀

Love that pyrex bowel. I have the snowflake pyrex casserole dish it was my great grandmas my grandpa was the best son he’d go to work and save his money and buy his mother dishes he knew she needed. He was a really good grandpa I miss him

Hawaii is my favorite place. I have visited Oahu once and the Big Island twice. Wish we could move there but that would be so impractical for us right now. I will have to satisfy myself by going as often as I can. Loved the photos and your finds, especially that green shirt. I collect aloha shirts.

I have an awesome vintage postcard from our Hawaiian trip 🌺🌺🌺 I want to show you it- we went about 5 years trip was amazing all tago. Missed our flight & got into 1st class. Got a upgrade on our hotel room cause they gave it away & a Hawaiian gift basket ! That was a fantastic trip💖🌼

That swimsuit is just the best, and fits you perfectly! I picked up a vintage suit the other day, and while the top fits me the bottoms are so small I could only get one leg in! I about died laughing. I hope you get a lot of use and fun memories out of that suit 💙

Congrats on your AWESOME scores Laci!!! I gasped when I saw the Amish Butterprint Pyrex in the video! So happy you snagged it up!!! I have my mom's (really grandma's) original 50's Large Cinderella mixing bowl (turquoise with white print) that I grew up with! I cherish that bowl...it holds so many fond memories!! My mom would cook up the best tamale pie in that bowl.....MMM...SO YUMMY!!! It is now mine and I would love to try to thrift others to go with it. Unfortunately...no luck here in California...our prices at thrift store are getting so high...Ugh!!! Also....Pyrex in good shape is a rarity I find around here too! Anyway...GREAT video Laci!!!

Hi Lacy! Wish I knew you were coming to Oahu which is where I live! I rented a space & sold things myself at Kailua Pickers for a short time. If we met up, I would have taken you on a historical tour of Pearl Harbor - there are some amazing sights to see on the base & even some vintage WWII dishes and other items we could have checked out! Next time! ❤️ Hawaii is full of amazing history & vintage inspiration which is one of the reasons I love living here. My husband & I are both retired military. 🌈🌴🌺🍍🏖🇺🇸
