It's such a small thing, but I love how he repeatedly refers to her as "Emily" and not just "the model" or "her." The colours, his hands and bracelet against her skin, the eyelash curler, her profile with the hairdo on that beautiful red with the dark lipstick and the stark skin. I spent the first few minutes of Troy's tutorial acting like one of those reluctant tourists who goes to the Louvre for the first time, stands in front of a painting and says, 'I don't get it. Is this it? I could paint that with my eyes closed'...but he shut me up rather quickly. I loved his technique, how he used such a light hand and blended, blended, blended. I’ve seen his work in print before, but I had never seen him work. What. An. ARTIST! I really enjoy that you introduce your audience to different artists/ techniques/ etc. I so enjoyed watching this video!
