Vintage HOT WHEELS HAUL - $550 Vetty Funny

Big money car in this lot, something I have been hunting for literally the last 10 years. This beautiful collection of mint loose Hot Wheels includes the extremely rare variation of the 1979 released Vetty Funny Corvette with Mongoose English Leather tampos. Check out all the cool cars in this lot, including many special promotional vehicles released through the mid-1990's.

I always enjoy it when a collector finds a long sought after item. I've done the same. I'm a camera collector, in 1972 I passed up a camera I wanted for my collection because the guy wanted $125 for it. I NEVER saw another anywhere! Finally a friend of mine in Australia found one via a Japanese collector who had two. I paid over $600 for it and it took over 40 years to get it. Good luck and keep collecting. You have a great collection.

WOW! Great video👏🏾 Lots of memories here with the funny cars, I had the Vette with the red stripe & although I wasn't a kid when those Geoffrey Giraffe Fords were out & never owned one, I do remember them. I had that army funny car and if I'm not mistaken, it's based on the Plymouth Arrow which was a rebadged Mitsubishi from the late 70's early 80's. LOL! Van De Kamps! I knew what that was right away. As a kid I had plenty of Van De Kamps fish sticks, probably single handedly kept them in business because I ate so many. Again, great video, thanks for sharing 👍🏾

Those Dragsters take me back to my childhood my friend, I went through so many of them because they were so cool. But as a kid I enjoy the crap out of them, as an adult I still do I just don't beat the snot out of them. I believe Vandy camps also did a drag bus and a GTO. That was a very very nice haul my friend, love the cars that you picked up. Thank you for sharing them with me my friend.

Wow. The Snake and Mongoose were my first Hot Wheels. 1979 Christmas gifts from my late great big brother. Both are mint and I do own that extremely rare white stripe Mongoose.

My menace grandson got into my room and tore open my Blown Delivery Real Riders in blue with Hot Wheels livery series 12, and judging by the skull impact, I'd say that was one of, if not, the heaviest HW diecast they have going from I think 2013! That little punk not only tore the clam case open, then ripped the mint card apart, he also launched that mofo straight at my horrified skull!! OUCH!! I mean EFFIN OUCH!! Last month at an antique store, I found a loose mint condition 1971 Hot Wheels Racing Team Redline car. It cost me $65 but it was worth it. The sliding wrench tray in the back is still intact and shiny.

@@BWHW1977 Luckily I stopped playing with my Hot Wheels by age 12 and they have stayed safe in their two carrying cases for the past 29 years. I started collecting again last year when they turned 50. I found the Ultimate Chase Dark Blue Boneshaker at Walmart last year. That one stayed in its package, as did the Marvel, Disney and Fast and Furious Adult Collector Sets.

It occurred to me recently that '32 Ford Delivery has been a "Missing in Action" casting lately. It's a casting that was a mainstay of premium-ish lines a decade ago but hasn't been seen since a Cars of the Decades release in 2013. I've been hoping to find a vintage Mongoose/English Leather Vetty Funny at Value Village with no luck in 8 years. I'd be happy with just the "regular" version. At least I have the 2009 Dragstrip Demons version which I bought when it was new. I have a Lexmark promotional car that was a Value Village find, the '67 Mustang. It has a maple leaf tampo in the rear window. I'm not sure if that means it was a Canadian exclusive.
