If i can recall that same year , Muncie blew over Atlas Vanlines trying for a new speed record, and passed away in the crash. The following year Dean blew the Budweiser over doing the same damn thing and killed him also. We lost two fantastic world champion drivers back to back trying to break straight away speed records. God be with them always. RIP 💜💜💜💯💪💪🏆🏆🏆🏆🌍

I’m an old fart now at 64 years of age & 40 plus years ago can still recall those monsters racing around & around Mission Bay here in San Diego California. When the show came to town we camped for 3 days out on Fiesta Island each year and had some awesome times with friends & family. Chuck Muncie in the “ Miss Budweiser” was THE Man Back then. There were unfortunately some pretty horrendous crashes sometimes when they would catch air underneath and flip way up in the air before crashing back down again. That was when racing in those took a REAL PAIR OF BALLS. Cool video here , thanks for posting 😎👍
