I like to remove the plunger and soak in lite oil.meths for the pre heat cup. And a little tube on the nozzle for filling the cup

Why is it leaking fuel on the top mantle ?

Because the lantern is not heated enough for the liquid gas to become gaseous and start to evaporate. This is one of my first lightings of such a lantern and I was not informed enough.

Hat bei mir auch länger gedauert. Ich hab bisher aber auch nur den Rapidstarter benutzt. Übung macht den Meister. Tipp: ich würde die Pumpe durch einen Pumpenadapter ersetzen. Ich pumpe da mit einer Akku Pumpe und bekomme daher keine Vibration auf den Strumpf, dass er nicht so schnell reißt. Aber man kann auch normal Pumpen nehmen. Jedenfalls ist es sehr entspannt, dass man dann nicht mehr 200 mal pumpen muss. 😁😉
