Amazing video!! Can you make a ski mask/balaclava (marine type) with the same pattern. I am a beginner and i really want to make one mask. Any tips will be good

I am currently making this with this type of pattern, for the face hole i cast off some stitches, knit a few rounds flat with the remaining stitches, then cast on the same number i casted off and keep knitting circular. Rest is the same as the regular hat pattern!

What length circular needle worked for you?

Anything smaller than the circumference of the finished item should work great. I believe I used a 16inch here, but I don’t have mine labeled so I’m just guessing.

Is there a gauge/sizes for this hat?

The pattern doesn’t state a gauge. And it is only one size. Probably an Adult Man seeing how during that time that is who would typically be serving in the military.
