Rez1K really enjoyed your video & your still images. I do appreciate your commentary behind each shot-you’ve captured some good images. I’ve paired my X-Pro 1(no firmware update) to a vintage Russian lens(53mm f1.8-no focus ring!)& the entire experience is very analog & the images (when I get it right) is very film like. Very challenging but most rewarding. New subscriber. Please continue to do more on vintage glass.

Thank you Dennis! I hear good thing about vintage Russian lenses. It is a nice experience but can be challenging. Super rewarding! I will continue to do more on vintage glasses! Any glass suggestions?

Nice shots! I have 4 FD lenses and plan to buy Fujifilm X-T5 with FD-to-X converter. I was afraid that it's stupid idea, but your video ensure me, that I definitely should do it

i was just wondering what is the mount adapter you use for your canon fd to fujifilm x camera ?
@Rez1k3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response! It’s the fotasy fd lens adapter. Fairly cheap on Amazon

Love my vintage glass on modern digital cameras! I also feel you on the cold(!) I went out Christmas Eve to shoot that incredible glowing sunset from Jackson St bridge and I thought my hands were going to fall off from frost bite. I also had to hop in my car and shoot from inside to get warm. LOL Great video! :)

lol I felt like a top detective taking photos from my car 😂. Thank you! I saw that picture that you captured, the sky almost seemed unreal that day! Nice job!

@@Rez1k thanks, it was crazy! I actually missed the most dramatic colors that night in the 4 or 5 minutes it took me to drive to the bridge.

🤘Nice review! You should try the FD 28-50 f3.5 and 24-35 f3.5 two of the best FD zooms, sharp wide open and parfocal. You can also get the early chrome nose 35mm f2 concave at a good price and is optically identical to the SSC version.
@Rez1k2 жыл бұрын
That’s interesting, I’ll definitely look into that 35mm. Thanks for the point!

what adapter did you use. I have a K&F Conzept. Works well with the X H1 and X T2 but not woth the x Pro 3.

Sorry for the super late reply. I’m not 100% sure but the one that I had used on all of my fuji cameras being the same Mount. Something cheap off of Amazon for sure though 😂

Same! I’m noticing a shift in my preferences over time. I used to want the widest lens as possible now it’s the complete opposite!

The compression allows for separation of any obstructions providing you stepping back of course.

I’m always tempted to try vintage lenses (for my Nikon) but worry I’ll get the wrong one or it won’t fit etc, it would be an expensive mistake to make for me (mega tight budget).. but anyways a great vid.. subbed 👍
@Rez1k4 жыл бұрын
I used to worry a bit about that as well. What helps is selecting 1-2 mounts (like canon fd mount or Minolta md mount) and checking some antique shops. A lot of the time the prices can be negotiated!

And thanks for the sub!
