I have a vintage 1962 or '63 White Marine Pearl Ludwig Hollywood kit with a 14 x 22" bass, 2 - 8 x 12" tom toms and a 16 x16" floor tom. It also came with a Supraphonic 5.5" snare, Speed King bass drum pedal, two cymbal stands and a snare stand and all for about $525.00. The double tom mount on the bass drum is much more archaic than this set up and was not a adjustable as this kit. I played many a gig with this kit back in the '60's and played one recently two months ago. I have Evans G2 heads on the toms and an Evans EMAD on the bass batter side. These drums are in good condition and still sound great. My father bought them for me when I was around 15 years old. In closing the chrome lugs on these drums are in great shape and in much better condition than on a used set of Taiwan manufactured Pearl Maple power tom kit with the high tension lugs that I bought in the early '90's. Thanks for the video!

1:18 The Commodores "Brick House"...but on fairly "dead" drums. I think I've played a set of cardboard boxes (that other new drum kits were shipped in) that had more "tone" than these Ludwigs. :-P Just kidding...but only a little bit. ;) But don't fret, I still "Liked" this video with a "Thumbs Up" just due to Christopher Bounds playing. :) Happy New Year to all!

This is some kind of low tuning and that's why sounds a little bit dead. I think this drum kit can sing in medium tuning.
