Paris was never a pile of rubble. It wasn't bombed like a lot of other European cities. It was a war zone. But what's that got to do with the music?

Actually that's not quite accurate, due to the Vichy French, France 🇫🇷 and Paris were largely left intact. Unlike Dresden which was smashed, crushed into a fine powder of concrete,stone, wood.

Paris was not damaged. It was declared an "open city" and was not bombed. Read some history.
