i have 2 fully assemble-able cars in pieces in 2 boxes on a shelf.... gold pan, one with double geared tranny and one regular 3 gears in a row.... pinion, idle and spur gear.. one of them used to go about 55mph with a brushed trinity race motor and 7 cell hump back NiCad battery.. run time was like 3-4 minutes if i was lucky... seriously was like 23 years ago they last ran...always wanted to put them back together and back on a shelf...lolol...have fun with it... that era of R/Cs is were it all began.. i remember wanting one when i was 12, but at least the sales guy talked my parents into getting me a Tamiya GRASSHOPER....

Dude you should totally get them out and try to get them running again. They are such classics. The Tamiyas are classics as well

I still have two in my attic RC10s. One belongs to my brother. Our first cars were Tamiya Hornets.
@theRCelement2 жыл бұрын
Sweet man! My first was the Hornet as well. Then the RC10

That’s awesome that you still race today. The RC10 has to be the most iconic RC car ever imo

Very nice finishing! Do check out Wade Skelton’s running video of his RC10 restored with 3D-printed parts. 👍

I started out my rc racing career when i was 15. With the original rc10. This was 1 i 'wanted, but the $$$ was way outta my reach'. My 1st rc car was a hitec rtr kangaroo. In 1977.

Wow very nice, but a 45kg servo?? That's extreme! Maybe that's all you had to put in

Sweet ride! Let me guess, the original resistor wiper arm speed control smoked when you drove it in the grass?
@nitro20372 жыл бұрын
i use to use that resistor, put huge wires, and a soldier with super high melting soldier... i melted to many electronic esc to justify not having to replace just a resistor... i was into quick runs, not really full race track, drag race stuff, street or sand. high rpm trinity motor last bout 2 minutes with a 7 cell hump back NiCad,,, but yeah, those things GOT HOT...

Yeah, I remember that thing coming in the kit. Don’t think I ever seen anyone use it lol. Everyone had Novaks

Beautiful buggy! Wanted to try and ask whatever happened with your Craigslist find Greatplanes Skybolt bipe? Was looking forward to seeing you fly it but I can’t find the video. Did you do a video of her maiden? Thanks! Love your channel!
@theRCelement2 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy! Yeah, I still have the Skybolt and never flew it. Kinda got busy with other projects and it got pushed aside. I need a bigger area to fly it also. My yard won’t work for that plane lol
