I work for a Texas based jewelry chain and I can confirm that your polishing wheel should indeed look that dirty as you use it. As the fibers start to unravel and loosen up, make sure you trim them down so that they don’t grab objects from you and possibly cause injury. They also make several different types of compounds that do different jobs (same with the buffing wheel) so if you don’t get the result you want, you can always try a different combination. Some wheels and buffing compounds are denser for tougher jobs. Love these updates!
@alanholck79954 жыл бұрын
Unless you already ordered the window for the over cab bunk area - DON’T! It is going to be constantly exposed to rocks, wind, & rain. Eventually it will be cracked & leak (it will eventually leak even if not cracked). You won’t be able to diy-install a window as well as the factory did. Install some sheet-metal instead. If you want light add reading lights.

What they are doing in general is dangerous, and not just to them but others too. You need at least a modicum of experience to make sure you are doing the re-build right and thus not making a deathtrap. I can picture them hitting the brakes hard and stuff collapsing.

Mine doesn´t as of yet, but I was just wondering if there was anyway to prevent this prom happening other than putting a sheet metal up and covering it? Thanks!

Hang in there, you'll get it done. I took pictures of the last travel trailer I started restoring. I had to open up the entire front of it and replace every frame piece in it, along with new insulation. The whole front framing was rotton and ate up with black mold. When my wife seen it she almost started crying. I just told her, 'honey, don't worry, its only wood, lol.....ever since the cancer I am extremly slow, it took me almost 2 weeks just to replace/rebuild the front wall and about 4 foot along the right side. One thing about travel rigs, they use alot of glue a staples to build them, lol....hardest thing I did completr was the complete floor in the slide part, had to glue/laminate four pieces of OSB wood together then cut the floor as one piece and it installs from the bottom. Slid it under the trailer and used automotive jscks to raise it in place. The factory put screws about every 16-20 inches, I spaced them at every six inches.....had a brand new roof kit but sold the trailer to a young couple who gutted it, remodeled it and turned it into a beautiful tiny house, their living in it now for about a month. I'm starting to look around for anothr one for a project. Since I can't work anymore I get bored easy so I look for a project to give me something to do....ya'll look like ya got this bull by the horns, ya'll make a great team. Keep on building those memories and hope nothing but the best for ya in your adventures.......
