My dad was a dive instructor in the 80s and has one of these, its currently in the mail on the way to me!!! I can't wait! His is the slightly newer one from the early 80's that doesn't have that small logo under the 150m text.

Definitely all original. I've been collecting these for 15+ years. I've currently got 3 of these but owned dozens over the years.

Two weeks ago I bought a 1977 6309-7049. It was well worn but it came with a NOS bezel and insert as well as the original box, papers and original GL835 strap. Has been serviced and running well. I don’t think it’s ever seen water.

Great video! I have my step dad's 6309. All original, including scratches. I wouldn't change a thing. You're right, the "water resist" is in red still. Thanks for sharing.

I've still got my 6309 that I bought new in '84, back when i was very involved in diving. It's my 2nd one. My first one, I carelessly left on the hood of my truck and drove away. Didn't realize it until much later. Other than replacing the band a few times, my 6309 is in new condition. Great watch.

I have the 1978 version of this watch with similar Wabi-Sabi...that's how they should look. Like Watch Nut said, it def looks all original I would love a nice all original 6306 though. IMO the 6306/6309 are the best damn divers Seiko has ever made. That case is unbelievably comfortable on wrist.
