I bought mine in Sydney Australia in January 1985. Still wear it often. Bloody reliable watch.

I gotta have this in my Seiko Diver's collection. Got all the 7002s and SKXs but these older models are just fantastic. Fingers crossed!

I have the exact watch I bought in St Thomas in 1986. I'm sending it in to Seiko for overhaul. My bezel and crystal is scratched, I'm hoping to get them replaced. Do you think they'll send my old parts back?

Great video. I picked 1 of these up in an antique shop in a small town for $150 last weekend ! Near perfect condition. So far it keeps perfect time. Only issue is the bezel is somewhat loose and rotates too easy. Any pointers as to how I can repair ? Thank u again for the video and I subscribed.

I’m not sure about the bezel most of the ones I’ve got are really tight
@roadgent79213 жыл бұрын
Sounds like the bezel gasket has gone however I'm no expert. If you ask Spencer Klein (actual 7548 expert) on one of his vids he will answer you on his Friday mail call weekly video.

Also if you paid 150 and it's near perfect condition - that is either a bargain of the century or something aint right. Ask Spencer...

These definitely are not thermo compensated. That was one of the issues with these especially if they get cold over a number of days. The usually excellent timekeeping (1 - 5 spm) would drop off. The later 7C43 addressed this somewhat.

I live in California and it doesn’t get cold enough to make a difference. This video was done 3 months ago and still keeps excellent time . Thanks

Hi, Great video. My 7548 from 84 has an SQ dial, is it any different mechanically? is it rare?
@ChrisMarshall19780072 жыл бұрын
Sq on dial is American model mine is Japan only
@liorlavi40012 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisMarshall1978007 thanks , most of these watches I see online are like yours so I thought the SQ dial means it's different
@liorlavi40012 жыл бұрын
I also saw someone who was selling his saying "This is SQ dial version with diver’s 150m is typically hard to come by."

Hi. How’s the crown tightened? It will stop, or if put bit more torque it will turn more? (This is what my doing, so I’m not so sure if it’s correct or no) Best Regards SK
