Great video Jules and lovely copies. The williford is a big money book, Robert Bonfils did most of the later nice cover art. I met him years ago, a very nice fellow and terrific artist who did at least a thousand covers for US 1960s sleaze pbs. Great fun video! Thank you.

Fantastic book haul! Books like this were often found on the same shelves as sci-fi and horror paperbacks in the early 1960s, which got me kicked out of at least one store when I was approx 10 y.o.! Sure the Charles Willeford title is worth several hundred; ditto the JD items. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing!

Dear Jules, I very much enjoy your videos. I do think that one or two of your books here do have Robert Bonfils covers. I'm a collector of the old sleaze novels myself, though most of my collection consists of Nightstand, New Nightstand, Idle Hour, Midnight Reader, and so on. I was pleased to see this video, as I'm really just now looking into the Newstand Library books. I only have two of them in my collection and I believe both of them are Robert Bonfils covers, really beautiful. One Day in Hell by Hugh Zachary, and Whirlpool of Thunder by Warren Caryl. Both of which were quite inexpensive and can be purchased online. Both are more of the sex crime noir type novels, which is generally the type of sleaze that I am always searching for. Do you mean Nightstand books? Many very famous authors wrote these under other names to pay the bills. $5- $10 for these as you said Yours are in fantastic shape. So often the glue is gone.

It's something i've been looking into. Generally I don't bag my books but I think I'd like to bag my most collectible. What do you use, brand and type I mean?

Jules Bert, I collect Nightstand, New Nightstand, Ember, sundown, idle hour, evening reader, midnight reader etc. I recently put most of my collection in poly bags for paperbacks that size and you can get them from Amazon's website in packs of 100 and they're not expensive. Also the poly bags are acid free and will protect your books quite nicely. Your books will thank you and you will enjoy bagging them up
