Great job! The only thing that shows it's age is the quality of it's construction!

🤨 ~ you wouldn’t normally paint the blade, just leave it bare/blue it for rust protection. I was looking forward for a demonstration 😕

Not sure but I think the pulley on the engine shaft is installed backwards. The flat portion on the shaft would work perfectly with the set screw on the pulley. The belt alignment would also work straighter and better. Just an idea from watching this video. A really nice solid edger for sure...and you did it justice too... Thumbs Up!
@AJRestoration Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the comment, I did play around with the pulleys and this is the best I could get it so the v-belt aligns the best.

Excellent restoration work, congratulations 👍👍👍👏👏👏. Just one question: what is this device for or what is its use? Would it be a vertical edger? All the trimmers I know of cut the grass horizontally. Thanks in advance for answering. Greetings from Argentina.
@AJRestoration Жыл бұрын
Its for cutting the edges of your lawn. The blade can be tilted so it cuts horizontally. Thank you for the great comment.

are you sure this machine is 80 years old?
@AJRestoration Жыл бұрын
I could not get any definitive info on this since the company that made this could not really help with identifying it. They said it could be at least 60 to 80 years old. Now in all honesty 80 years might be a bit of a stretch.
@sftvierendeels Жыл бұрын
@@AJRestoration honestly 60 years for this kind of machine is a venerable age. The most important thing is what it has become in your hands. Well done again

@@AJRestoration You are a correct person, you say the truth 👍. BUT it's exemplar that a machine will work like a new one after restoration. HOW EVER I'M NOT AN EXEMPLAR PROFESSIONAL because I'm not doing restorations and I see you're videos for fun. Thank you very much for the fun you give me 👍.

How did it go from a 3.5hp to 2.0? The stickers are different
@AJRestoration Жыл бұрын
Its a 2 HP engine with a 3.5HP blower housing. Its not the original blower housing.
