Oh the happy memories that has brought back. Mum loved Tupperware and used it everyday, I have inherited some, it’s great quality but yes don’t put it in the microwave 😳 I have the storage containers and some beakers, I’m looking at the drinks pitcher right now 😂 I really don’t like how people call all plastic ware Tupperware, it really isn’t. I buy it whenever our charity shop has it in, great containers for the freezer.

Back in the 70's my Aunt Pearl sold Tupperware. She was very successful doing a few parties a week and earning a large percentage of the family income. Here's the thing-she was totally blind. Her husband would set the table up for her in exactly the same way before every party. She never fumbled. I loved watching people's reactions at the end when she told them she was blind.

Wow guyz, real memories here. I hosted 2 Tupperware parties back in the early 70's when my son was about 4 yrs old. It was a big thing then and people bought a lot of it! The plastic was real sturdy, real hard, didnt have to worry much about dropping anything. The only 2 things I didnt care much about the tupperware was that you couldnt tell what you had inside of it at 1st glance cuz you couldnt see through it. Weve come a really long way since then, but I really dont care much for what they put out today. I hate plastic in general and mostly hate cleaning it. When the stuff gets old it really looks used up and scratchy, not for me. I disliked it almost from the start, but I sure did sell lots of it. I sold Avon as well, but after my daughter was born I didnt have much time having to keep up with my real job as well. Thanks Guyz and great music there too! xoxo

Thanks for sharing that! I also have a few memories with Tupperware and using them growing up. My mother also sold it for a short while. I remember her hosting a few Tupperware parties. Thanks for the compliment on the music, Marie.

What was the contribution of women during Industrialization? Selling. Just realized what the climax of the movie Superdark Times was hinting at with this video. Allison brought the baits and sold the idea.

I still use a few vintage tupperware pieces. Definitely love the tea pitcher and the deviled egg carrier, Oh yeah, and the sugar and creamers! Also, you really can't beat the salt and pepper shakers! I don't have those, but they worked really well and I kinda miss em! And they are perfect for kids! They last forever and they won't break!

Tupperware has always been expensive. But it was really worth it. They have nearly put themselves out of business because their products last so long. I have Tupperware products that I use daily that are at least 40 years old. Try doing that with Sterilite products!

I love tupperwear! Unfortunately I Dicovered the set I got from my mom bless her soul wasn't microwavable. It was from the 60's
@twobrokeguyz12143 жыл бұрын
Yes the vintage Tupperware isn't microwavable. Not sure about the new stuff. I'm so sorry you found out the bad way. Hopefully it can be replaced? Microwaves weren't all that popular in the 60s yet for the main household. They were in the 70s though.
