As an American, I feel robbed because I’ve only just heard of Barrie like a year ago when he did the video playing Rory’s gear. I’m into it, man.

Cue every guitarist learning every run used here. Superb as always from Barrie, and what a player James is.

The rig I would take to a desert island would be Barri'es 330, with Barrie's Bassman, and Barrie Cadogan to play them for me.

I would rather watch Barrie tune his guitar than listen to many more famous players - he has soul in those fingers

Wowza! Love this series. Keep it up. And I hope you could hear/feel me hooting, hollering and clapping when each of those jams concluded. Such great playing and amazing sense of staying within the “retro” genres that showed off the amps in context. And it was fantastic to watch you guys played off each other so well. Add a bassist and drummer and give me an album, instrumental is fine- but I’d buy it if it’s just you two noodling. Cheers.

Oh, I had an Ampeg like that in the 70s. It was badly in need of repair, but it worked. Wish I had known it was worth getting fixed at the tender age of 12. AFAIK, Ampegs have Baxandall shelving tone stack. That would explain the midrange rasp.

I had that old Gibson amp, maybe 75-82. The tremolo bled into the volume. Imagine an amp where the trem adds volume, the reverb too. It was a great soup on ten. Great speaker in there too. Of course, totally an idiot to ever sell it. Regret that as much as any on a long list. Don't ever tell me modeling can do that. Overlooked: pre-CBS Pro Reverb, amazing
