I inherited a L66 from my grandfather. Love the blade, and carry it daily. I'm told he found it one day in the woods long before I came along. Not sure the circumstance, but it's in great shape despite being found around dirt and leaves. Still is years later, after he'd used it forever. Thanks for the video

Been collecting these for awhile now and I have the same!! Thank God for garage sales and old women who sell there husband's tackle boxes and tool boxes!! These knives were made back when America was great!

I have the one in the middle. Got mine back in the 60s when I was a kid. Has the same leaf embossed sheath also.

I have a W36 with a "M" mark. Totally different butt style than yours. Wanted one for years when I saw it in Walmart stores. They were always sold out, except for the display one. And they couldn't sell the display cause it belonged to Western Co. Finally in one store I asked for it and they had only one. My Grandmother made me a beaded sheath cover with fringes for it. I have 1991 W36, but it has dark blade, stacked leather handle and aluminum guard and butt on it. I like it, but not as much as I love the other one. I have a few other Western fixed knives: L66 J stacked leather handle, two 628 I, 628, L628 stacked leather handle and a L28.

I should keep my eye peeled for a W36. My first fixed blade knife was a 66 given to me by my Grandfather. A high school friend talked me out of it... Years later I replaced it with another and I liked it better than I remembered. Sure wish I'd have hung onto the other one...

That W-49er is the one I want but those are nice Tew. And may have seen a few hunting events in their time and you got put them babies to action on a deer , rabbit ,pig or hog at some point and that would be cool and you take care Tew.

Probably some type of glue. It’s little stacked leather disc. Just awesome blade

It's not a true full tang, it's a slit tang. Western knives are the only to ever do it, the billed it as stronger than regular stick tang knives.
