He is a university unto himself. Sowkhyam is the hall mark of his music. He delves into Ragas with such effortless ease and dwells just about rightly. You can listen to his Rangapura, Mokshamu galada, intha sowkhya, annapoorne Visalakshi, Chitham eppadiyo and sagar Sayana Vibho with Virutham any number of times and every time you can find something new. Since I did not have the privilege of learning formal music he became my maanaseega Guru. Very rarely you will see him breaking word of a sahithyam. When are you going to start ‘singing’ again?

Amazing! I have had the privilege of listening to KVN Mama for almost 70 years now( I am 75yrs).Whenever one listens to him even now there is a freshness about whatever he sings.In this brief DD concert,the way he has handled the Sudhasaveri krithi is unimaginable.A piece which is often rendered briskly as a filler by many is given a beautiful shape with the addition of his characteristic neraval and crisp swarams with his trade mark twists and slices. Dearest KVN Mama,we miss you sorely.🙏🙏
