Nice looking car. Sounds like you are off to a good start with your priorities. I remember when I was younger and the stuff I had to do to get it home. Great story!

Love that Beetle, that’s what I had back in 1977. 1965 but mine was yellow.

Raul, cool project. I'm just finishing my 65' project, which has been 3 years in the making! Good luck, and I'll be following you on your channel.

Raul, you have a project there-- not a bad one, but definitely a fun project. If I were starting where you are, I'd consider a full new wiring harness. I think that will pay off down the road. Solid wires and dependable grounds will do wonders. From the look of the butchered doors, I'd be suspect of any other "special modifications" they may have made over the years. I look forward to watching your progress!

Good luck with the project Raul. I might bring back some fun memories or remind you of why you got out of VWs back in the day. People say that a lot. I always wonder when the day was🤔 I like CIP1 for parts. They often have good, better or best options. 🖕🤙

Those front shocks are bolted up side down. Can’t tell if that’s plastic or metal.

I would stay away from aftermarket pop out windows they’re notorious for leaking if you can get some original ones and rebuild them that would be better but don’t do the aftermarket pop out windows
